The girls have made it through their 7th week of 12/12! Not banking on the calendar this time, but do hope they finish closer to the calendar date....

Nothing changing....just got it on cruise control now.

Just a few red hairs, trics are still clear and more forming....with an occasional cloudy one.

I'm just sitting back waiting for em to bulk up & ripen...patiently ;)

That's a new happy alright. What did you do with the old happy?

Hey Happy!

Great to hear your update man....it must feel good to have salvaged this crop from near disaster.

As you know, I had a light leakage problem too, so "the calendar" wasn't really applicable to me this time around ( I had to add the full 20 days to the back end). I'm actually interested to see how close your plants come to being ready in real life in comparison to the time frame the breeder's state.

How have you or others here done in terms of this? Just curious as I begin plans for my next grow!

Good luck man,

ICB

Hey ICB, Thanx!

Being able to actually see the difference between the two grows, in pics, I can see where the current grow is far ahead of the last grow according to the calendar. And it has convinced me that the light leak was a large part of the reason. I make plenty of mistakes, but I think that was the biggie!!

And SME, part of my patience comes from enjoying my last harvest...lol It does the job and is the best I have ever grown....but as I am enjoying it, I think to myself...with it's genetics, it can be and is supposed to be better!! A lot better!

And I realize that the major reasons it didn't reach it's potential is me....my lack of knowledge & experience...and patience! :D It wasn't the seed's fault...lol I'm working on that...(Thanx again to all that are helping me work on that!)

From being just an end user for so many years, I know I am not the sharpest crayon in the box when it comes to growing.....(but I can twist up a near perfect joint in no time flat...lol) I am trying and I am learning and I am still determined to improve & get good!

Just need a little help and guidance along the way.... Still.....

Happy! 8-)

Well I am down to just under 2 weeks left on the calendar, day 58... Like the last grow near the end, ppm has been rising & ph has been dropping...that is what lead me to my last water change, but it didn't seem to stabilize the numbers.

Last night before lights out, I topped off with just plain tap water....about 12 gallons. My tap is about 32 ppm, 7.0 ph. After topping off it brought the numbers back into range and they hadn't moved much by the time lights came on this AM. So I will keep my eye on it, but as long as my ph stays in range I'm not adding anything unless I have to.

With the activities and visiting associated with the holiday, it had been a couple of days since I had time to really spend with my girls and check them over good. Got a few things going on....

Some of the larger leaves are appear to be fading, getting a little discolor....but isn't some of this normal as they near the end of their life??

The plants where the flowers never grew together(smaller buds spaced along the stalk) are shooting out big, single spaded leaves...instead of the multi spade leaves all others have...except the little sugar leaves near the top... I don't know if this is a sign of some sort of stress or if it is strain related? But these few are growing differently than the other plants...

Another thing that I noticed....I am hoping/thinking it is a good thing, but haven't found much info on.... On some of the buds, there are like little clumps of white. It is like a bunch of white hairs have formed together to make a little white lump in the bud... It definitely does not look like bugs, fungus, mold or anything bad...but it does look different! Should I be happy about it?

From not paying much attention for a couple of days, this morning it was like wow! The buds are getting a little chubbier, and a lot of trics popping all over the buds, leaves, stems.... Only 10-15% or the hairs have turned color & when I checked trics about 3-4 days ago about 95% were clear.

Whether they are finished by the calendar or not, won't matter this time as I have nothing scheduled to go into the Aeroflo right away.... These are shaping up to be some of the best looking buds I have grown to date.....so they will be given all the time they need to finish to get as good as I can get them!!!

Happy! 8-)

Happy do you plan on flushing. You may want to consider that soon, get all the bad stuff out of the plant before you harvest.

IMHO,

Hey GR...Thanx.

Yes, I do plan to flush them. But from what I have read a week is plenty in hydro. I am thinking I'll wait until I am seeing more hairs and trics change??
