SolarStorm 400 + SolarFlare 200 - Shiva Skunk

Postby JimmyJohnnyStevie » Tue Dec 03, 2013 8:36 pm

Hi all,

This is my first post and I really appreciate the MMJ community for turning me on to CLW and this forum. I live in a Legal MMJ state and I am a MMJ patient. I've only used MMJ in the last 2 years and it has been a God Send. I am not an expert grower nor an expert anything MMJ. I am a medical patient and I'm growing my own medicine out of necessity. This is my 3rd grow (second in soil). Last grow I harvested 2 oz. dry medicine from 150 (real) watts of LED UFO's. I hope to triple that this grow with triple the watts. Might be a pipe dream in such a small closet, but I've seen other people do amazing things in closet grows.

This will be an organic grow with 4 plants under a SolarStorm 400 + SolarFlare 200. I purchased the SS400 just days before my friend gave me his SF200. He has decided to go back to MH and HPS lights. I wanted to see if the temps could remain reasonable with both lights on. Temps are maintaining at 83-85, so I figure I'm good to go. My grow is tiny but I am hoping for enough medicine to get me through 3 months without the need to purchase additional from local MMJ dispensaries. Here are the details.

Environment: 2x3x7 Cabinet
Lights: SolarStorm 400 + SolarFlare 200
Medium: Soil - Fox Farm Ocean Forest + Happy Frog 50/50
Additives: Dolomite Lime @ 1/8 cup per 3 Gal pot and Cal Mag every third watering
Pot Size: 3 Gal
Nutrients: Veg-None (FF soil is sufficient), Bloom-Bat Guano (Budswell Liquid)
Strain(s): 2x Shiva Skunk from seed (Serious seeds), 1x Purple Jack (dispensary), 1x Super Lemon Haze (dispensary)

This grow got off to a real shaky start. I tried a version of super-soil that almost killed my plants. I re-potted them 3 days ago in just soil and they appear to be recovering OK. Time will tell if permanent damage has been done. I apologize up front, I only have a camera phone for pics so the quality is lacking, but you can see the environment and the plants pretty well so I'm going through with this. I will update this journal every week. Please let me know if you have any questions or if something is really wrong with my grow.

God Bless - JJ

Welcome to the forums!

If you have questions, feel free to ask and we'll try to help you up your yield. ;)

What is your monthly need? We should be able to calculate if it's possible to hit your 3 month goal with your lights.

SME

ps. I might move this to the CLW section too...

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.
