Thanksgiving is over; the craziness of the holiday has past. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2013 I completed week Six of flowering. Top of the canopy is 28"; I have had very little increase in
height. The tall branches were LST'd two weeks ago.

ph 5.78
ppm 1427 PK 13/14 added
Water temp 72.6 Degrees
Humidity 50%
Room Temp 70 Degrees

Today I took a sneak peak at the trichomes, The heads are almost fully formed and are currently clear. I will now be looking at them
on a daily basis.

The Indica hybrid that I am growing, (under ideal conditions) finishes in 60 days. I think I will harvest when heads are fully formed but before they start to cloud over and turn amber.

No problems.. All has been well and good.

By harvesting early, you'll dramatically impact your potential yield but since you have space issues, this time, it may be for the best. Maybe replan your grow space or flower while they're much smaller next time.

Good luck!

Good Evening all.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2013 the 7th week of flowering was finished.

ph 5.80
ppm 1358
water temp 73.0
Humidity 55%
Room temp 72 Degrees

Tonight, December 6, 2013 water was changed again, this time omitting any nutrients, only correcting the ph in preparation for
harvest. Trichomes are now fully formed and beginning to turn cloudy. I plan to start harvesting on Sunday.

I will send photos of the results.

I must say, I am impressed with my SS 400. I have learned much this grow time around and looking forward to applying my new knowledge to the next grow.

SME: I hope you are feeling well and recovering well from your surgery. I have thought of you as I care for my post surgical patients.
I hope all is well.

I'm still not ready for prime time but there is already some improvement and some things that got a bit worse. My overall pain is much lower, right now, so I still have a lot of healing and rehab in front of me. Thank you for your thoughts...

Hello All

On Sunday, December 8, 2013, I harvested the two largest plants. Perhaps you can tell from my previous pics that I had a crowding problem.
I had two plants that "took over" the area, leaving three remaining plants small and for the most part only slightly productive. I left the
other three plants in the DWC tub under 12/12 lighting for another week to finish.

I use a foothill filter dryer for initial drying as it keeps the humidity constant; end product is less brittle. The grow is now curing and
will be ready perhaps the second week of January.

5 plants total Critical Kush by Barney's Seed Company THC 25%, cbd 2.1% Indica dominent, 8 week flower time.

184 grams dry weight

I used the same seed, hydroponic set up, nutrients as previously grown. I changed nothing during my grow except for LSTing the
large tall branches to control the stretch as suggested by the forum members. I ran the same ph, and ppms as previous for the most part. The California Light Works SS400 was used exclusively as my only light source. I was and still am limited with regard to my grow space. I use a half bath area with sink/counter encompassing an area of 2' x 3'. This area is stationary. I have 8' ceilings only and the
sink/counter is mounted at a height of 32 inches. Indeed a small grow space but perfect for the SS400.

I am so pleased with the SS400. My total dry weight increased x 2.25 ounces. Total grow time was less, however I could have perhaps flowered for another week if I didnt have a crowding problem. The SS400 was absolutely perfect for vegetation!. I do not have the
capabilities in my grow room for HD lighting. The SS400 is perfect for those who wish to practice their horticulture on a personal, private basis; wanting only for decent yields and a quality end product.

Learning experiences

I was so not prepared for the S T R E T C H! I learned LSTing!

After reading other forum journals, early on I was prepared and cautious about any heat issues, which I did not experience. I closely watched my humidity. If the humidity gets too high the SS400 will turn off.

My plans for the next grow is to use two DWC tubs, planting only 1 or 2 plants in each tub, fully utilizing all available grow space that I
have.

On my next grow I would like to experiment further with nutrients, perhaps running the ppms higher than I have, and perhaps using some of the additional additives out there....but if its not broke don't fix it I always say.....

Thank you to Brandon of California Light Works. This is an amazing company. Their customer service is wonderful. My e-mails are
answered timely. And thank you for the opportunity to buy your product at such a reducecd cost....very generous indeed.

Merry Christmas!
