Rocky,

I just got a early present, my buddy in Cal works with a breeder and they sent me a shit load of seeds.

Female Cotton Candy X Male Blackberry grape ape

Female OG Kush X Male Lavender

Thinking I see a SOG in my fall 2014 grow.

Already have my seeds started for my next Mainline Grow, a White Widow and two Ace.

Peace out,

GR

Oh yeah! I just email your some, LOL.
I would if I could there bud.

I have the new seedlings under CFL's, can you put the seedlings under the SS400 for 12 hrs a day in the bloom mode and move them back under the CFL's for the remaining 12 hours of the day.

Has anyone tried this?

GR

You'll get more stretch but they should live. ;)

gr865 wrote:Ok I am about 11 days out from the date given by the breeder. The are looking ok, not bulking up like I had hoped but got very tight buds.
My buddy from NM will be here right before Christmas, on the 23rd, and I would like for us to sample Q2. I was thinking of cutting a couple of buds for him and I to try, well my G/F will want some also, but what the heck. LOL

So I am thinking of cutting some on Saturday and dry for the remaining time. How would y'all do it. I am thinking cutting, hanging to dry but don't think a single shoot off the main will take that long to dry. So let's say it's 5 days, then put it in a jar and breath it daily till John gets here. What do y'all think.

I don't think I will be ready by the proposed day of harvest but well shall see.

GR

It won't be ready with that long cure but you could water cure it. ;)

I wouldn't try to SOG from seed but you can turn a seed into a mother to get clones for a SOG if you want. ;)

Thanks SME,

I know better than the SOG from seed, was stoned and just got the give of all these seeds. LOL

I have ordered a 2' - 4 lamp T5 for vegging. Then give them a few weeks under the 400 in veg mode before switching.

Not sure about that, I have screwed up so much this grow and have never even thought about water curing, but will check it out.

Day 49 of 12/12!

Not a lot happening, according to the breeder I should have one more week, but I am going to go by thricomes - mostly cloudy, 10 to 20% amber and by pistils, breeder says they should be 80 to 90% orange to red.

I did cut a side shoot off of Q2 for a quick dry and some cure, not going to get a lot of cure, want to sample it next Monday when my Buddy from NM comes in for a visit.

Q2's daughter, Q2D, is looking ok, her side shoots look better than the main shoot. She did not have near the veg time as her mother but she is going to be ok. She is not ready at all, not showing any leaf color, few cloudy or no amber thricomes and the main cola has some orange pistils but the lower shoots have very few. I may harvest her early to see if there is a major change in pain management and high.

The new grow is looking good, White Widow, sprouted 12-5, is growing leaps and bounds ahead of the two Ice plants, sprouted 12-4 and 12-5. Got them under the new 2' 4 bulb T5 fixture with 6500 K lamps. Should be able to start the Mainline training within the next two weeks. If timing is right should be able to move them to the cabinet around the 1st of the new year, hell going to shoot for New Years day!

Day 52 of 12/12

In the waiting mode, and watered today, it was a chore because I have the flu, did not even want to get out of bed. Have been just flushing them with 6.4 to 6.5 pH water with GH FloraKleen.

The leach-ate on Q2 is 6.35 pH and the ppm is 492. On Q2D the pH is 6.49 and the ppm is 380.
About 50% orange pistils, some cloudiness, only a couple of amber thricomes showing and lots of frost.

I took some pics of the new ladies, WW and Ice. Will not post pics yet as they are still under the T5.
I can't believe how tight the node spacing is. The WW has 5 to 6 nodes and is only about 2 inches tall. The Ice is about the same way.

I hope to harvest within the next two weeks.

Peace out,

Yes I know, but there was a poster back in the 70's, it was a drawn poster. It had two buzzards sitting in a dead tree in the desert, very bleak with bones sitting on the ground under them.
One says to the other,"Patience Hell, I'm going to go kill something!"

Well something raising composting worms has taught me was patience, moderation and diversity.
But damn its hard.

Hey GR!

Hope you had a great holiday...just looked at the last pics of Q2...very nice man! Some significant output there from that mainlining. Do you know many days it was from sprout to harvest? Or put another way, do you have a thought as to how much extra vegging time you invested with the mainlining?

I'm at a decision point now....

Looking forward to hearing the weigh in number!

Thanks,
ICB

Well Q2 came inat 3.5 zips. That's more than i expected, I also got an zip plus of trimmings and small popcorn bud. Will be using it to make some RSO for a friend's skin cancer. I kept some popcorn buds that were just perfect for my bowl. I have everything jarred now with the 62 percent humidity packs. I am still burping the jars every 3 to 4 days and wondering just how often i should be burping them.

Q2's daughter was harvested on December 28th, dryed for 5 days and I am trimming her now. I will put in jars with the cut up stems and branches after i finish the trim. I will be opening the jars for 30 minutes/four times a day until the stems in the jar snap, then put them in jars with humidity pack to finish the cure. Weight before trimming is 2.5 zips so i expect 2 good zips and .5 zip of trim.

My laptop died last week and in the shop. Looks like I may have to get a new one, should find out by Friday. That is why i have posted no pics. Hard to use my droid to do this.
Up load pictures when I can.
Peace out,
GR
