Do you lift the glass off the heater to clear the tube, between hits or just keep hitting on it until it's done? That thing must get really hot if you just left it there.

Maybe I should reconsider edibles, I can grow enough to transition I guess. Which one here is the chef again? We need a recipe...

Well my Wappa bud is all dry. Took her out of the drying tent final trimming of the bud. Wet it was 6oz on the dot, dry 1.8 oz. Not bad for a seed that was a freebie and left over soil. Not bad at all.

Smoke report in about a week in the jars..stay tuned.

I don't know, you're the chef. One of the problems with most edibles is they don't taste very good. I think an easy option is peanut butter and chocolate rice krispy treats...or cheesecake. Those would be good with or without medication What would you make into an edible that would still taste good?

Your right most edibles dont taste good. One great way to get cannabis in all foods is cannabutter. I dont like the online recipes do it really they do it wrong. How I make it is first Clarify the Butter. In the restaurant world we make gallons of that a week. Take a pound of butter bring it to a boil and skim the milk solids that come to the top. Butter burns easy because of that...clarifying it removes it and the cooking temp of it goes way high so it doesnt burn. THC is fat soluble and those are proteins that your removing. I add my trimmings or bud to that and on a medium low let it sit for about 30 min. THen I strain the plant matter out put it in a plastic container and store it. When I make it that way you dont get a overwhelming plant taste. Use it in anything your cooking with.

You can bypass that and buy a big ass container of Ghee. Thats indian butter which is basically clarified butter any indian store has boat loads of it. They use it for everything.

Yeah, ghee keeps well too because clarifying removes those proteins but what would you make with your cannabutter?

I'm looking forward to your taste test results but won't you want to cure longer than 1 week?

What's your overall impression with the solarstorm so far? I like that they have those 5w diodes, I saw them at a maximum yield growers expo they seem well made. I wish they were bigger. 200 10w diodes maybe?

The butter oil is all you want. Like I was saying in the cooking world thats all we use for cooking..that and olive oil. The milk solids are all thrown out. Everyday we must take 5-10lbs of butter and do that to it.

Well just for a smoke report was just gonna let it cure a week. Might go longer.

I like my Solarstorm alot so far!!! Highly impressed with it. Its well made and has a unique look to it compared to alot of others which all look like they came from the same place. In the laptop world everyone has there laptops made by Quanta in China. All Quanta does is stamp a name on it...HP Dell etc. Apple is one of the few that can get away with designing and developing the whole thing and telling the factory how they want it. It shows...kinda like the Solarstorm.

The 5w diodes seem to kick butt to maximum penetration. I have it on veg cycle right now and apperciate that one is lower power then the other.

My only suggestion is getting a 6 inch inline fan if you have it in a tent. My temps are fine with a 4 inch one but a 6 inch one I could run on half speed get the same airflow as a 4inch one on max and be alot less noisy.

Alot of the experience to I believe is the actual company. Other LED makers never return any email etc. If you read some grow journals some are down right hostile like the makers of Blackstar. I read in one and he cut and paste the email he was asking about why it pulls so little guys emailed him saying "line purity" determines wattage use then they degraded them lol. George has been anything but that and created a good buying experience.

I have peanut butter on an English muffin before bed. Really relaxing....Yummy too! h

peanut butter is digusting lol. I hate anything sweet actually. I have about a zero sugar intake. I couldnt drink a half can of regular coke without feeling sick.

Freezing a twelve pack of water I picked up. Interesting side note I was able to do the super cooled liquid water. Pure water will stay liquid even below freezing if there are no particulates in it. Big big issue for aircraft and why they think Flight 447 went down in the ocean a few years ago. Water that was in liquid form but below freezing entered its speed meter and instantly froze. Anyhow take a bottle of bottled water...theres nothing but water in those since they sterilize the inside and pump water directly into it. Put it in the freezer and if you go check unless its been agitated it will still be liquid. You can instantly make it rock solid by shaking it.

Bad analogy but its similar to electricity. Water is not a conductor of electricity its the particulates in the water that carry the charge. You could put a power line in ultra pure water be standing in it and not get shocked. Add salt and your toast.
