CLW Groweer Program review

Postby highdefseeds » Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:49 pm

Well, here I am.

I finally received my LED Light (400 W SolarStorm) from CLW... and as per my agreement, am here to share my experiences... honestly.. both good and bad per our agreement.

First, let me say, I already have one of these I've been testing for a little over a year now. It is a fantastic led grow light. a true tank!

I have done a LOT of close review of other lights as well... and I can say hands down CLW stands out from the crowd. There are only 2 other manufacturers I approve of, and honestly their build quality and durability isn't nearly as good.

That said, this last order, for some reason, my payment got bumped out of their system... and it took me nearly a week to get it corrected... through no fault of my own. This caused a 3 week delay in my delivery time and set me back on a project. I was none too pleased.

The last order went smoothly and quickly and I'll include that comment here as well. I am hoping this was only a glitch in their system and not where their practices are headed. I will leave the benefit of the doubt on that, as the rest of their work is impeccable IMHO. ;)

More on shipping: Last order I received there was a dent in the end of the light (small cosmetic mostly) and a broken UVB bulb. They sent replacements immediately to me for free which fixed my issue. That was nice.. Thank you CLW.

This time, nothing broken (and I ordered 4 extra UVBs as well) as their packing has improved. cheers guys! (They had said it was a known issue and they were working to resolve it.

OK... so now I will start my grow thread. The light is unpacked and setup along with the other necessary environmental controls.

I'm having trouble deciding which to grow since I'm a vegetable breeder and have so MANY strains to play with!... so I'll throw a poll up...

YOU tell me what to grow!

lol

This is a low volume forum although I am surprised that so few people voted.

So...what are you growing? ;)

I suppose I should comment on the lights themselves as well. I love em! Like I said.. real tanks...

We had a cold spell of weather here and I had to shut of my exhaust fan entirely (usually modulated by temp).. Well, I forgot about it.. and temps spiked... the upper of the 2 lights (2 different decks) shut off...

I peaked in.. saw that... plugged back in.. and checked again in half an hour... back on.. like nothing ever happened. I am very happy to have reliable gear. Thanks CLW!

Hey, looking interesting there! I'm sorry, I didn't see your poll...I definitely would have voted for basil, tomatoes and peppers. I am thinking about getting another SS400 to build an additional grow area, and having a year round vegetable garden....

Look forward to seeing how things go!

Good luck,
ICB

Link restrictions due to scumbag spammers...

;)

Tobacco may not be the best indoor plant since they are so wide but they look like they're growing well. :D

I wonder how eggplant would do...
