December 14, 2013 - 123 days into grow.

The cut back plants in the veg. chamber are looking pretty good except for what I believe may be an iron deficiency, but I haven't confirmed that or had the chance to treat it yet.

Also, I'm seeing a little red in a few stems/branches.

Any help with either of these issues is welcome. See images below....

I see what looks like an early Potassium (K) deficiency in those last pictures, if you pH is still on track and it's getting worse maybe flush and refill your DWC buckets.

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

Thanx SME,

I think it was a deficiency with not only Potassium but everything else as well. As you mentioned before, my nutrient concentration was on the low side, and you were right on. Turns out I was including Rapid Start, KoolBloom and Floralicious Plus with my total Nutrient PPMs, thus diluting them. My plants seem to be doing better since I made the correction. Oh well, I'm learning.

Peace Out,
CC

December 15, 2013 - 124 days into grow.
Mary and Jane at 60 of 55 days Flowering.
Flushed, 8 days.

Mary and Jane were harvested at 60 days of Flowering. I didn't get too many photos of the harvest, but I've posted what I do have below.

I got 201g from Mary which comes to 50.25g dried to 25% of original weight.

I got 323.7g From Jane which comes to 80.93g dried to 25% of original weight for a total dried yield of 131.18g (4.68 Oz).

Not too bad for my first grow, but I think I would have gotten upwards of a pound if I had Monster Cropped one plant and had a better understanding and control of my nutrients.

My 2 SolarStorm 400s did a great job and performed as advertised. I saved a ton of $$$ on my electric bill and I didn't need a separate exhaust fan for heat that would have been generated by MH or HPS lights. I absolutely love them!!!

December 17, 2013 - 119 days into grow.
Snow White at 49 of 63 days Flowereing.
Flushed, 10 days

Snow White never totally flowered, not sure why. I needed to get the very large veging plants into the Flowering Chamber ASAP so I harvested her early. There were trichomes on her calyxes so I figured I'd try to extract whatever I could, rather than just disposing of it all.

This is the leaf stem I repaired when I moved her into the Flowering Chamber. I had lost sight of it and wondered if my splint worked.

In Conclusion

All in all, I believe my SolarStorm 400 watt lights worked exceptionally well. Now that I have a better understanding of growing hydroponically I look forward to a much better yield with my next crop.

Thank you SisterMaryElephant for all your divine wisdom and advice. :P

And last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank the folks at California Light Works for allowing me the opportunity to take part in this program. You Guys Rock!!!

Thanx So Much California Light Works!!!

I just love DWC rootballs...

Remember, LED lights work best with shorter plants so keep them small and don't overcrowd. That'll help a lot. You'll do better next time. :D
