That tells me it's not ready so you're right to keep waiting. I don't know why it's not ready but clearly it isn't.

Keep on keeping on... ;)

As long as I can believe time is making it better....well to a point

What I dried should keep me from clipping anymore samples for a while.

So we will give it another week or so, checking daily.

Happy, when did you start counting flowering days was it the day you switched to 12/12 or when you saw the first flower?

Hey PM,

I did know enough to start counting the day after I flipped em to 12/12.... And even at that I have over 100 days of 12/12 with these girls!!

It's crazy!!

Either I am doing something terribly wrong, or I got screwed on the seeds...and the more I learn, the more I am leaning towards it being the fault with the seeds. Wayyy back, I ordered White Widow and AK-47 from a place overseas to start.

The first grow was of course from seed & I had no clue what I was doing...other than I was going to grow some pot....results were so-so, but no where close to what I had read about these strains.

Second grow I was still clueless but started another round of seedlings in tubs. Dumb-ass that I was, I made a lot more mistakes....but during that 2nd grow I discovered cloning!! LOL AFTER THEY HAD STARTED FLOWING.... I butchered those poor girls!!!

From desire and reading (& more $ than sense!) I bought an Aeroflo during the 2nd grow...and a couple of cloners...lol...and some lights...and stuff. I clipped and clipped until I had enough clones to feed my new system....well over 100 clips before I got it down..from 6 female plants (but now I get 100% success on clips). Needless to say, the results of the 2nd grow was again no where near what it should have been!!!

So my first grow in the Aeroflo, which was the previous grow to this one, was actually my 3rd grow with these genetics. Similar issues....I let it run over 3 weeks past the calendar date and still chopped it too early!! I was reminded of that every time I fired some up cuz I felt it wasn't near what I read about WW & AK....

Now with this batch, 4th with these genetics, I am at about 14.5 weeks of 12/12 (and I have double & triple checked my timer settings...as well as they are functioning properly) and still holding out to see at least over 50% cloudy before chopping.

The more I think about it and as I write this...the more I am thinking that I got screwed on the original seed order!!!

No matter what it is, it will be better if I can hold off until I am seeing more cloudy/amber than clear???

It can't all be me...can it??? I know my growing skills still have a long way to go, but I think I have learned enough through some great online friends :D that by now I should be couch-locked, eyes closed with the bong still in hands from just a handful of rips!! That's my aim.... ;)

But it ain't happenin.....yet

What's the verdict happy? Still watching? Have you decided to cut yet?

The trichs have to eventually change color...the anticipation is killing me seems like you have been waiting for ever!

Hey PM, killing you?? Lol. What do you think this is doing to me?? Damn, yesterday was day 107 of 12/12 on a strain I thought was gonna take 63-70 days!!
I've been checking daily and seeing only s-l-o-w changes...but still a lot of clear trics & very few amber...
But some leaves have gone beyond yellow & are turning brown....so I think these girls are starting to recede & die...
I am thinking about harvesting "some" of the buds this weekend...
I'm out if smoke...so something is gonna happen!!!

Happy

I solved the mystery.

the strain you have is Rip van Winkle.

Well if it is Rip Van Winkle how the hell do I wake it up?????????? :lol

I think the strain is more like Ripped-Off.... Especially after struggling with this strain for ??? grows....

Thinking about selectively harvesting some of the in the morning before the lights come on. Here are some pics I snapped last night while checking trics....and I'm still not seeing what I have been expecting to see... Without the scope some of these buds look ready...

Last weekend I clipped a few of the lighter buds...after drying they give a good buzz but no where near the couch-lock...

Are there strains where you don't get amber?

Tell me about it... I wish I too was reading about it, instead of living it.

Hopefully my restart with AK will bring different results.....If not, I did receive a seed order today!! :D Sooner or later I am going to try this Dieselrella...

Regarding the stubborn girls.....I got to where I could convince myself that trics were at 50/50...Plus, some of the leaves on the larger buds had gone from yellowish green to brown. So I started chopping the buds with the brown leaves!

And damn, there are some good sized ones!! Whatever this "forever strain" is, these are some of the largest buds I have ever grown....so even if the strain is squirrely, my skills might be improving??? LOL I have them hanging now. Planning to take some pics before they go into jars.

The bud that remains growing seems to have made a little progress...seeing more cloudy and actually a few amber scattered in.... I am thinking another week and a half and I will be at 120 days!! So they are close to coming down, one way or another!

Kinda glad that wpm outbreak made this the last grow with these genetics....I am looking forward to maybe finishing a little closer to when the calendar says they should finish....time will tell...as usual.
