Yea how it goes..temps got to warm for to long allowing it to grow from the get go and such. Well I took mylar taped it to the outside of the bucket then cut out a piece for the top. That cut a fair amount of it actually since mylar reflects like 90% of heat. Then I bought a container that is bigger then it and about halfway up filled with water and throw in a couple frozen bottles now and then and keeps the water below 70. I would of done it before but I had thought that I would not have a issue with it. Lesson learned.

You probably could have saved that plant, algae in small amounts can actually be ignored but it's best to treat it. Yes, you can add h202 to treat algae but there are other things to do that help algae from starting or coming back. The most important is to keep virtually all light away from nutrients. It doesn't have to be 100% dark but as close as feasibly possible is a good idea. Unfortunately, most white plastic that we use lets some light through. None of the remedys are perfect but darker = better when it comes to nutrients.

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

Yea I agree..thanks for the info. I kinda dove into dwc read some but hadnt fully. I am pretty experienced in soil and should of read more but I think now I have it under control. Black buckets wrapped in mylar in a tub of cool water with ice bottles changed out. Water is under 70 now consistently. Also changing out the water every 5 days so.

Only odd thing is the OG Kush in soil is bigger then the one in my bubble bucket. Well see how it goes though. I like the concept of the buckets but I also like soil alot more so far lol.

Ya soil is a lot easier. I grow for a dispensary, and I leave those plants for days. But as far as seeing what hydro can do, you havent even scratched the surface. Also, I live in an Apt., and carrying dirt in , and out, is kinda obvious. Once you learn hydro, youll see you cant beat it. It just takes a long time to learn, which to me is better, cause I need something to occupy my mind, and I love making systems, fail or not. One day Maybe I will come up with the latest, and greatest.

I agree with Sister, (again) I wouldnt have binned the plant either. Its a weed, you should know the hell you can put them through. Maybe an idea for ya.......I have neoprene inserts in the top of my netties, from the hydro store... Dont know if you noticed. h

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Thats why I only decided to do a couple this round...already learned alot on some various things..also why I have a bunch of soil plants as well going.

Ive heard many mixed things about Greenhouse Seeds and so far most of that has lived up to the rep they have...over hyped etc. The Super Lemon Haze was a dud and my Super bud.

On my apartment theres about 1500 units and Ive seen like 10 people in the year I have lived here so not worried about someone seeing me with bags of soil.

Since you have time you should try Aeroponics. Saw a show on Discovery Channel about top 5 things to sustain humanity by 2050. Basically they were saying that by 2050 3 out of every 4 trucks going into NY City will have to carry produce simply to feed them. That is very unreasonable so the solution was to bring the farm to the city. There testing large scale Aeroponics in Singapore since thats a unique place where 99% of all food is imported and there trying to change that. One prototype 13 story building with aeroponics produces like a equal to 500 arces of farm land. Nasa actually invented that. Roots dont need water really at all just finely misted on a timer water with nutes. You end up saving a crap load on water to why Singapore is giving it a whirl.

For you foodies....

Pan Seared Scallops with Applewood Smoked Bacon on top of Asparagus.

Braised Short Rips with in house made Egg Noodles and Collards

Then a beautiful Cake we made for a competition.

My cooking style is I like simple looking dishes. That short rib plate is about as convoluted as I make a dish. A plate should frame the food and when you see it it should pop and you should say wow.

Ya, Ive run into some real shit too. (Seeds liquefying ect.) I usually grow Subcools strains, without a problem. I was real impressed with this White Russian from Serious seeds. Never had a taproot grow a 1/2 inch, after being in a shotglass for 12hrs.

My Apts, is only 6 units, and all the front windows face the parking lot. Also to top it off, my neighbors are nosy as hell. I really dont care about them, cause Im legal, but landlords around here still frown on it, cause of the fire/flood hazards. Even being legal, it behooves one to still abide by the, "dont tell, dont smell, dont sell" rule, and they leave you alone.

My system is an Aeroponic. The sprayers are very fine (about like a spray bottle) and are running 1min on, 4min off. Some systems have foggers too, but usually have some sort of small cheap misters. Mine are outdoor garden sprayers. A little more industrial, and dont clog like the cheap ones. h

Alright some more pics. I harvested the shorter one tonight, need the room got alot going on inside my tent. Man forgot how much these things stink when you cut them. If your growing this thing have odor control, when you harvest have serious odor control especially if you live in a Apartment. Had incense going, hepa airfilter running full blast. I netted 8.5 ounces wet shes in my small tent drying now. I cut her down to the buds since I am using a rack to dry this go around and need the space in my 2nd tent for not only drying but some ladies that are in flowering and I put them in there when its sleep time for them.

8.5 ounces off a Auto in a 1 gallon airpot is pretty fucking sweet...1 gallon pot!! I could of gotten 9 ounces but I was tired of trimming bud since its late here and I threw it in the bag with the trimmings for bubble hash. I attribute the large growth in a small pot to Advanced Nutrients and probably near the best LED on the market. They were not under the Solarstorm during veg but for about 95% of there flowering they have been.
