no problem. good luck. put a chiller on your most wanted list too.
did you wash your hydroton before you put it in netpots? if not, you'll get a lot of debris in the res

i know you already have a bunch of other nutes and additives but I would recommend something else to start with.

pick up a quart of general hydro micro and bloom next time you are out.
get on the internet and search for lucas formula. and read. and read. and read. especially try to find an article about the origin of the formula.

and then post any questions about it. I and SME and a few others use it and are quite pleased with results.

thanks RKY, water chiller is at the top of my list for sure and I will keep reading into the lucas formula. I have read it before and kind of understood it, so I will look into that more.

So, how are they doing now? ;)

Not too good SME all lower leaves have either major nute burn and fried up or turned black and crisped up. Had to leave this weekend and wasn't able to try saving them with r/o water. My water has a ppm of 240 and has chloramine instead of chlorine so they burn up even with no nutes. The top growth is still green but really curled down into a claw. Going to try and replace them and start fresh with only r/o water.

The clones I get are already rooted in 2in rock wool cubes. When I transplant them what is a good starting ppm ?

Week 2
Hey everyone did you think I died along with my plants? Haha probably did, I did too. So I decided to replace my plants so I wasn't paying Much attention to them and then I saw there was still a little hope with new growth at the top even though everything was turning black or brown below and there was also a root explosion down below. I was happy to see all 8 tap roots and next time I checked it was crazy roots down there. So I started feeling a little connected to these guys and realized starting over is just the easy road out so I gave these guys some faith and flushed them and switched to only r/o water. They loved it and I was able to rapidly raise the nutes as my ppm kept dropping every few hours. Now they are all much taller and healthier and I couldn't be happier with these guys they really proved me wrong. I added two 6500k cfl 100watt replacement bulbs on the side for a lil side lighting (the four in the middle were getting most of the LED). I cut off all lower dead growth and they are greener then ever. Ppm is at 300 ph 5.8 and water is 69 degrees (frozen bottles are a bitch still looking for a cheap water chiller). I will post pics real soon to keep you all updated. Thanks for following sorry I disappeared for awhile. :ugeek:

8 plants under a SS400w; I'd skip the training and flip them as soon as I could. You can always adjust veg times next run if there is too much open canopy but I doubt that will be the problem. ;)

Yea SME I was thinking sea of greens would be best and just focus on those precious colas. Thanks for the input I am much happier not messing with these girls and just watching them grow. Im looking into a second light to add for more power during bloom, just depends on finances right now. I was planning on switching 12/12 when they were a foot and a half do you think I should do it sooner? there all about 9in. and just starting week 3 nutes.

Flowering at 18" is too tall for LED lights, especially with 8 plants.I'd aim for 10-12" max and that might be too tall for 8 plants in a small area too.

It's up to you though... ;)
