Do you know if I can buy the UVB separately?? I know clw don't sell them separately.. I need to research this uvb I have noo idea what it does.

Actually yes you can buy the UVB bulb from clw seperatly. I just don't know if I can post the link on here where to get it.

Link restrictions due to scumbag spammers... That would be allowed based on posts, etc. ;)

I jusst got a email back from clw.. they say the 220 full cycle is used for a mother/ cloneing chamber?? Here's what they said:

Our SolarFlare Full Cycle was designed to be used over a Cloning Station or with a Mothering Plant.  If you are interested in using one LED light that can grow a crop from Veg through Bloom and into harvest you will need to consider purchasing the SolarStorm 440 or 880 model.

You might try starting with an alternative lighting source (T8 / CFL / etc) during Veg and then finishing the crop with our SolarFlare 220 BloomBooster.  This option allows you to begin reaping the benefits of growing with LEDs and gives you the opportunity to later upgrade to our SolarFlare 220 VegMaster when finically available.

So looks like my idea of 2 sf full cycles with added uvb will not as good as the ss440... now I duno what to do again.. im thinking of selling the 220 now and getting the 440.. gah what should I do! These lights are expensive!

Honestly bro. Don't sweat it. If I was you. I'd hook it up and let it go! Its a full cycle. Give it a woral the only thing I myself would look more towards running autos or even 1 photo at a time to start. Seriously. I have a 110w veg. And I have 3 autos loving that light right now

yeah shit. I find all these different spectrum's and crap confusing  . I was reading more on this solarstorm and it says in veg mode u should keep the light 5ft away from your plants and around 2 feet away during flowering.. does this sound correct? Now.. with my box being 6ft, i dont think i even have enough headroom for the solarstorm any ways ... or do i? i have no clue. i should have thought of all this before i built my box haha.

Not to sure.... I know that i have both my SS only 14 inches away from my one plant and its going in to the 8 week of flowering and i havent seen any bleaching just yet. Some other growers on here have had bleaching problems.

i wouldn't agree with CLW for light distances. the most i ever put my 400 above my plants was 24 inches when they just tiny clones. after a week or so to get the roots established, i dropped to 18 for the rest of veg. during flower, i kept it around 12 to 16 inches away.

i think some people had nute burn not light burn. nute burn starts at the tips of the leaves. light burn will usually turn the whole leaf pale-yellowish.

you'll just have to keep your plants short and hope they don't stretch much or you will run out of headroom in your cabinet. how much per harvest do you need to get?

yeah, 5 feet away from the plants seems ridiculous...
WIth the 1 solar flare220 i was hoping harvest around 4-5 oz with 4 plants.. if i were to add another sf, or just replace my sf with the ss i would prob do 6 plants hopeing to harvest around 7-8 oz..?

All of the specs on CLW lights that I read said 18-24 inches but many have dropped them closer, sacrificing coverage to get more intensity.

IMHO, 5' is only ok if you're using for visual effect not for growth or maybe for algae. ;)

I don't go by grams per plant but if you went by grams per watt then 2 SF220w lights (or 1 SS440w) could, in theory, yield 10 or 11 ounces.
