I'm reading (and using) Marijuana Horticulture, The Indoor Medical Growers Bible by Jorge Cervantes (High Times $25). He also has a DVD that sort of goes with it called High Times Growers Series: Jorge Cervantes' Ultimate Grow DVD for $13. You can find them both at (nope). Also there's Growing Elite Marijuana by Ryan Riley $57. It's a downloadable e-book. Find it at (do not try to get around link rules). It a whole package that includes 6 or 7 ebooks. When I got it it included a coupon for 5 free seeds but I don't see that there now.
Cervantes is an editor at High Times and seems to know what he's talking about. He's been doing it a long time and been all over the world researching it. Both of these books are thorough. And that's an understatement. The DVD is a quick-start guide that will make you think about all the aspects of what it takes to get what you want from your grow.
And of course there are many sites that do the same thing. Some better than others but there are a lot of them. And YouTube is another source for just about anything you need to know and want to watch it on video.

Hello,

I've been thinking about adding some supplemental fluorescent lighting. All of the lights I've seen are one that would hang from the tent shining down to the canopy. I was hoping to find some that I could hang horizontally to get the lower part of the plant.
I've ordered almost everything else for the room.Just waiting on the 880 and my MMP card.Found a guy with a ton of clones. He suggested reserve pravada Headband or big Buddha Cheese.Any suggestions on the t5 or the clones would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ed Rosenthal is also a respected well-known grow book author.

I would skip "Growing Elite Marijuana." Despite the claims on the website it's just recycled info (some of it out of date), that you can get other places, assembled into his pdf.

I had a few different books over the years but looking at them now I wouldn't buy one. Often the data is out of date and you won't learn anything in them that you can't learn online. That said, if you want to support the authors or just read about growing, feel free to buy as many as you like. Even experienced growers can learn "something" from them; the question is what. ;)

Hello,

My wife has made me move the up coming grow side again. Now it will be in the mechanical room in my basement( 80 inch ceiling). That changes the tent I planned on purchasing. I'm now considering the secret jardin 6' or the grow lab 6' 7". If I get the grow lab I will cut the posts down to
6' 5" giving me 3" clearance which is what they recommend. My question is will the extra 5" be worth the hassle?

doubt it.

72" total: 6" from light to ceiling of tent, lets say light itself is 6" and light will be at least 12" from tops of plants. so you are already looking at 2' of non usable space. giving you 4' for a plant which is plenty especially for LEDs

Hello,

Anyone have suggestions for nutrients? I am hoping to spend around $100. I am thinking the ff trio or botanicare two part. Also I've read that when using led plants tend to use more cal/ mg , so I'm planning to buy a bottle of that as well.
Thanks for comments and suggestions
