I am still confused tho. I use distilled water al the time. Lol no worry SME! BUT I do appreciate the help! I'll keep in touch on what happens! I did check on then about 30 mins ago. And they seemed to perk up a touch. They are stinking up my tent to so. I hope they will be OK.

I figured out what happen with my Red Poison. The Ph level in my soil went to shit! how it happen i have no clue. But at first i thought it was Nitrogen burn. However after searching like crazy i actually think 100% that it was Molybdenum Deficiency . Meaning that the soil couldnt hold the ph level. Which is strange cause i had no issues with the soil before. I am using Sunshine Mix #4... But i think that my waters ph level with the nutes was too low and thats what caused the screw up with the autos. My ph pen i think wasn't working properly.

pH problems can cause other problems which make some people try to treat the wrong problem. ;)

You may have just experienced a nutrient lockout. Molybdenum (Mo) is an important micronutrient so make sure your nutrients have some especially if your medium doesn't. ;)

How do they look now?

They recover some what. The leaves that got affected really bad turned a red color and look like shit on the plant. However its still flowering and the flowers are now starting to turn purple. I dont know what the outcome will turn out to be. Kinda hard to say. Ill post pics on here tomorrow. Been to busy to be able to post lately. However ive been reading like crazy to figure out how to correct this problem. I never had it before cause i was using FFOF but switching to the sunshine mix i am thinking that i need to mix lime in to the soil and possibly some bone and blood meal ? what are your thoughts SME?

That's old school soil prep so I'd be tempted to say add it (with some worm castings and mycorrhizae) but if you wanted to be *sure* about what you should add you could send off a soil sample to a lab and they tell you what's in it and what/how much you should add to get it where you want. I've never used the lab analysis before but I've been a hydro fan for quite a while. I don't even know how much it costs nor how long it takes but it might be worth it if you plan on using the same soil every time.

If you're still experimenting with different soils then just add the basics like you posted. You might even be able to find specific recipes of what you should add to different commercial soils to get the pH and nutrient balance right. I searched yahoo for "sunshine mix recipe for cannabis soil" and found several opinions on what/how much to add. ;)
Example:
Vic's Super Soil recipes & notes
1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft)
8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source
4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source
1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source
3-4 cups dolomite lime -calcium source & pH buffering
1 tsp fritted trace elements
4 cups kelp meal.
9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings

- Mix thoroughly, moisten, and let sit 1-2 weeks before use.

That seems reasonable and you could still add mycorrhizae and other amendments too.

Thanks for that SME I am already trying to get things going or at least started for better soil then what i had. So This is what i meant about Molybdenum Deficiency and why i believe that's what killed my plants! It says that it mimics a nitrogen over dose which is what i thought was going on at first. But after reading more it says that reding or leaves turn orange mostly from the tips down to the base of the leaves. However there still growing. They are all around the 41 " mark right now !

Maybe thats it maybe not. However i think i might of corrected it fast enough not to do as much serious damage but to be able to get some harvest of of them. They are starting to bud and one is starting to turn a purplish red color so time will tell.

On the same note........ ITS HARVEST TIME AGAIN ! that's right skywalker after 14 days of no nutes and distilled water is finished. Shes looking not to bad actually. So tonight ill be cutting and chopping ! Ill post pics later!

looking forward to the skywalker pics. supposed to be a killer strain.

that is some weird looking coloration. definitely orangish. never heard of a Mo deficiency before. have you searched other forums for how common it is or what causes it?

From what i understand of it.. is the soil cant hold a high ph level and thats what the cause of it is........

Problem: The initial symptoms may appear similar to a nitrogen deficiency (yellowing of older, lower leaves). Leaves may become mottled or spotted. However, the tell-tale sign of a molybdenum deficiency is the leaves may start to display a unique orange, red or pink color around the edges which will start to move toward the center of the leaf. Sometimes the color appears in the middle of the leaves as opposed to the edges.

Solution: Flush your system with clean, pH'd water that contains about half the correct amount of nutrients needed by the plant. Watch to make sure that the problem starts to clear up within a couple of days. Molybdenum gets locked out at lower pH ranges. Molybdenum may get locked out in soil that has a pH of lower than 6.5. With hydro or soil-less mediums, molybdenum may be locked out at pH ranges of 5.5-6.0 and lower. Try to keep the pH of your growing medium above these ranges to help prevent a molybdenum deficiency.

Being new kinda gets frustrating lol These seeds i have are all really good strains and its sucks that some get sacrificed due to lack of knowledge. However. Its also a good starting base to figure out what works and what dosent.

Skywalker actually looks good! shes got some fat buds on her and i think that she will yield decent. I am very sure i could of gotten more weight out of her but i think i dint do to bad for being a newbie !

there is always something to go wrong! makes growing fun and keeps you on your toes.

i just like watching the plant transform into flowers and buds. cool how nature works and we get to see it up close.

14:
Yes, that's exactly my point. The pH may have caused the Mo lockout if it was too low or too high. Sometimes just fixing pH will fix the lockout issues and that's why it's important to always keep an eye on pH too. ;)

RKY:
They are beautiful plants; even if they weren't medicine (and entertainment) I'd still want to grow them.
