Here, let me show you the math just on flowering to demonstrate my point.

Let's say that both sides get 1 gram per watt (none of our LED journals have hit that yet) for this example.

660 grams LED
750 grams HID

90 grams difference = 3 ounces = ~$300 oz (top shelf here can go for over $500) = $900 dollars difference.

It's unlikely that you'll save $900 over 8-12 weeks of flowering by using LED lights that are still using 660w.

I've done the math plenty of times...

What are you basing this on? I haven't seen enough results to conclude anything much less assert some kind of fact - you sound like you've done all this already with LEDS, so where are YOUR results?

Also, I grow for a collective, not for profit so 300 an oz is twice what I get paid. I make my "living" writing software. So just to be clear, your math is interesting but it's also made up out of thin air. I'm not convinced unless you come up with an answer to my question above.

300-500(or more) is what dispensaries charge around here. You can get slightly lower prices for lower quality meds. That's what I based the cost/benefit analysis on.

Even if you *half* that, you'd have to save $450 for a 90w saving on the light and a few watts on fans and cooling.

That's all based on dozens of journals here and decades of personal growing experience. Of course it's speculating, that's why I said it's an "example." You're speculating that it'll be closer too but it probably won't be and you probably won't get 1g/w either. It's just an example...

Come on, I never volunteered any expectations. That was you, buddy. As for journals, show me five complete ones with harvests and I'll be shocked - your own growing experience as long as it might be, is NOT with LEDS and certainly with nothing current. Right? So I haven't speculated about anything outside of your real motivation for pushing this idea you know more than anyone else. If I had a dime for every master grower that came by the house to say I was screwing this or that up, only to go "oh" when it didn't happen like they said it would, I'd have 30 cents. And that's just this year.

Frankly, I think the energy of the grower has alot to do with it. That's why you can't write procedures down and have some schmo off the street duplicate it. It doesn't work like that, you have to find your own connection to the plants. That said, thank you for copping to not knowing the outcome any more than me - don't worry about editing out your "you'll see" comments.

You're trying to get me say something ugly so you can lock me out like you have so many others? Let me help you out, I'll just do this somewhere else.
