i always thought you had to put them under 12/12 to positively sex a plant. once they show, then go back to veg mode.

Nope, if you veg them long enough most cannabis (except autos of course) plants should show pre-flowers.

What are preflowers?

;)

It's so beautiful, but I'm so scared to try pruning that extreme! Who knows maybe by the time I get 4 nodes I will have changed my mind.

Excited to see what you do with it though!

Couple of pics after pruning and tying, the mainline has begun. They have not shown sex yet but training them all.

12 o'clock position is CC/BBGA 1, clockwise around to CC/BBGA 5 with WW in the middle.

Another day, another dollar! Yea, I wish!

All is going well, had a caterpeller on C1 but just on the two lower fan leaves. Found the stoned MF'er, he was lay sleeping on a stem.

Have begun some good growth, started feeding ever other day. Nutes at 850 to 900 ppm, pH 5.6 or very close to that, 24 hr lights at 18 to 20 inches.

Will be making my final trim this coming Mon. or so, and hope to be going to 12/12 by the 15th.

 not a bad place or way to fill your last several hours as a caterpillar.

I'm so excited to see what your mainlining looks like. Especially because you're only like 3-4 weeks ahead of me. You may convince me yet. How many tops are you planning on having for each plant?

Keep up the great work!

My goal is to have three or 4 plants in the cabinet, so hopefully I will get that many ladies out of the 6 plants. I did three last grow and think I could of added a forth. The only feminized seed was the WW from Amsterdam Seeds, the rest are from a breeder friend in Nor Cal. Cotton Candy female/male was a cross of Blackberry and Grape Ape. They are growing in the BBGA mode, very dense and compact. He speaks very highly of the cross, says you can get up and get shit done unless you smoke a couple of bowls in succession and according to him it will sit you on your ass. Fingers are crossed here.

WW is the upper right, don't think the rest or in any order.

I will be making my third and final cut on Monday, give a few days then tie them down. Want to go to 12/12 by the 15th of Sept., that will give me approx. 45 days till the 1st of December which is when I would like to harvest. I am giving my self a 10 day window of harvest. Not going to wait as long as I have in the past. My buddy says he harvest his indoor grows of the CC/BBGA in 40 to 50 days, thinks he starts to lose potency if he goes beyond 50 days. My last grow of the Ice and WW I waited to long to harvest, made for lovely buds but I had way to many cloudy and amber trichomes, thus I know I lost some potency.

Don't forget to keep that fan on them plants to strengthen the stems and provide good air circulation.

Wow, they bounced back so quick! That was a day and they look a week bushier.

I don't know, that WW bud looks delicious to me. Just right in fact. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't peak THC content happen when the resin heads are milky in color? I know that amber signifies loss of potency, but also an increase in the body-stone effect of the weed. Do you remember if that ended up being true? I will say this though, it does look better than most of the buds I've purchased at dispensaries here.

It is about percentages. When 20% amber then 70% will be cloudy with only 10% clear. This provides maximum liftoff! Very few commercial (and dare I say it) hobby growers have the patience to wait for optimal. 10 - 20% of weight comes in last weeks. This is step 1 to making a good grow great.

Step two is aging (like a fine wine) in the jars.
Burp (open jar to swap out air) every day first 2 weeks, every other day for 2 weeks and then once a week for 2 or 3 weeks.
This will allow terpines to ripen and give your material a heady scotch (or is it butter) like flavor to savor.
Maximum Flavor
Maximum Effect
It is difficult to do the first time because you "have to feed the monkey" but once done you will be a "Master"

Your Mileage May Vary and Please Tip Your Waitress

It's all about personal preference; I know people that like no amber and I know people that want a lot of amber. You'll have to experiment with each strain to see what you like... ;)
