Solar Flare

Postby rbt » Fri Oct 11, 2013 7:08 am

I don't see much on the solar flare 200W full cycle, or any 200W cycle for that matter. Reading through the past topics I see a lot of micro/tent growers which I are one. I know there is not a lot of response to that grow. I am attempting a 2'x2'x6'5" tent with ebb and flow rockwool. with a 200watt full cycle would it help me t add a T8 in the last days of flowering I will have to scrog

Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, most people buy the bigger lights so there isn't much Flare data.

Technically, I'd say that a SF200w is too small for a 2x2 area, if you want top-shelf results, but I wouldn't add any fluorescent lights unless you were just trying to add UVB. I wouldn't even use a t8 for veg, let alone flower. It's up to you, of course...it's your grow.

Feel free to start a grow journal for that SF200w FC light, that way others can learn too. ;)

I have a mini CFL UVB 5.0 from a turtle tank. I was thinking just last 3 weeks or so. To small ok, we will see have 6 week in one now about 42watts per square if true 165 watts actual I have read several times.

I should also state I am a first time grower medically motivated. Growing up in farm community wind the clock forward 40 years and the internet I have a DR60 kit air filter timers Heavy 16. and a stash of seeds I put away in 68 thru 72. I would greatly appreciate any critics or mentor to my grow. I built a EBB and flow 10 gal res. and 10 possible with a bell siphon will this full cycle help me if I decide to clone and veg 3 weeks then bring into tent to then flower. If that is my aim perhaps the bloom would have been a better choice?

Seeds that old may not want to germinate but you can try them.

How big is your ebb&flow?

How long you veg depends on the density of the plants in the ebb&flow. You can't cover a lot of area with the SF200w and LED lights don't penetrate very well so you'll definitely want to flower while they're short. What kind of expected yield will you need to satisfy your medical use?

Pictures of your setup always help... ;)

This is my first venture into growing inside on anything even a houseplant. How ever being a ex commercial Landscape estimator I have spent many years around commercial greenhouses and productions. I have severe neuropathy and diabetes as well as MS. So in the Morning I like a Sativa and at night a Indica for sleep works wonders. This is a trial run, I have 11 plants going now all my old seeds came up some I believe pre 1968. I am using Heavy 16 & prime, cannazyme, Riziotonic, just turned to 12/12 so started using 1ml/gl Bloombastic. I have a 2'x2' botanic table, 15 gl.res. air pump, DR60 tent, CLW200 solar flare, phresh carbon filter, active air 4" 165 cfm exhaust, 12" oscillating fan, start 4"R/W cubes then went to 6" cut in half set the 4" on top, will set in grow bags w/hydro after they sex here shortly. I also rigged up 2 - CFL 13w/10.0 UVB lights to a timer to run different than the LED. Once I get this down I will augment to a clone and veg and get the best strain form me. A little more reading and I like the water cure you posted is that for hydro too?

here we are 6 weeks after trimming some of the fan leaves turned 12/12 4 days ago. Here is also a picture of set up I modified a Walmart 12 oscillating and tied a string from the fan to the light it pulls it back and forth 2 inches. see the CFL set up, the reservoir is a 15 gallon from sears strong too. Built a table everything else fairly common I think.

It look a little yellow to me but maybe it's the lighting. What kind of ppm/EC are you running and at what pH?

Yes, you can water cure no matter how you grew it, inside/outside/soil/hydro.

Thanks for looking I would welcome guidance and critical conversation. Yes I believe the yellow is from the camera digital flash
PH- after a rocky start for last 3 weeks maintaining 5.2-5.8
ppm's- 5th to 6th week maintain about a rough 1080
water- 4 times a day 4 minutes each time. I have been trimming a lot and plan on scrogg after sexing getting prepped using about a gallon a day.
Lighting- SF 200 full spec and just added 2-13watt 10.0 UVB (DYI amazon $28.00) cant hurt

After sexing I will either put into 3 gallon fabric grow bags with clay pebbles or just fill table with them.
5days ago I treated with a MYCO tea top feed and will follow up with 2nd part of the gallon Friday. I have a green moss looking on top of my 4" rock wool is this dangerous?
