If you have a large number of dead roots, watch for rotting. That happened to me on my last grow. Lost all plants.
Good luck with yours.

I'm more worried about that first picture. I see phosphorus, magnesium and maybe zinc issues, possibly, partially, caused by a potassium toxicity. Are you keeping an eye on pH, temp, humidity, etc? Have you found out more info on high altitude growing? It could be altitude related but I'm still not sure.

Thanks for the advice.

For GR865: yeah, i hope the hygrozyme will eat all the dead stuff before it causes problems

SME: havent' found too much on high altitude. some consider denver high altitude. i'm 3500 higher than them.

but what makes me curious, is why only one plant? seems to be strain specific. the chiesel still looks pretty good. just a few issues on some of the leaves. but the sweettooth looks really bad. the buds however look really good. there is a slight tip burn from like 5 weeks ago when I tried EC 0.9. but they are really green. but there are hardly any single fan leaves left that are not yellowing.

what does low DO in nute solution do? here's my theory: there is less O2 anyway because of elevation. i'm thinking that the loss of half my airpump made it go from OK to not good. i have a 45L/min pump and 4 more stones en route. that will give me 6 stones total. they are 3.75" round alita industries (the good ones formed at high temps/reusable)

i only have 2 weeks to go. i'm hoping to get some more roots soon and try to coast to the finish. add some nutes at very low levels for the finish.

It's not just one plant...one plant is just worse than the other. ;)

9k feet is pretty high (no pun intended) but other plants live up there so mmj should too. Low DO will, of course, starve the roots for oxygen and cause root rot. Keeping the res temps low helps a lot because it raises the ORP which is how much DO teh water can hold. High temps in the res can lower the ORP/DO levels too. I've never got to play with ORP/DO meters. :(

You could try to add a little hydrogen peroxide to your res and see if that help clean up the roots and give them a bit more oxygen.

I'd imagine that they'll live for the next two weeks but you could be impacting yield and quality. YMMV...

true, one plant is WAY worse than the other.

i picked up a bunch of H2O2 yesterday. have used in the past with success. pre-chiller days.

gonna give them 48 or 72 hrs in just water and hygrozyme and try to slowly add some nutes for the last weeks.

I only do a 24 hr flush at the end so they still have some time to put on some weight.

Ok folks, made it to the end of week 8.

They survived the massive root failure caused by air pump issues. But they aren't going to yield a lot.

One positive is that they will be easy to trim this time.

Still looks like you will end up with some pretty nice bud...and good sugar coating too!! Are you still planning to chop on schedule, or are you going to give them some extra time due to the set backs?

I like my leaves, but I like your buds!!

Hey Happy,

Still planning on a harvest next week. But will depend on the trichs. If they need to go much longer, I might move them to the garage under a HID lamp and then start my new batch up.

I'm waiting on my meter to get here first before I start the new grow. Want to do everything by the book this time.

Just got my airstones yesterday so I'll have 6 in the tub this go round. And a much more powerful airpump this time too.

I plan on doing a journal on the new grow too. I like this forum: seems like most people want to help vs. some others where people are more critical.

How's your grow going? How many LED's do you have now? You better be careful or you are going to only see in blues and reds pretty soon . hahahaha.

Hahaha, I have a few...too many to turn back now!! I have 2-400s and 2-200s over the Aeroflo now....and still think I could use another pair of 200s... :) I recently moved one of my Mags over the mothers and switched it to veg....man, made me realize I did miss that soft blue glow on the girls...lol And the mothers seem to like it plenty too! :D

The mothers are really growing good, getting me ready for the next one. And believe it or not, I still have two of my confused ladies...the others have gone up in smoke...lol With these last two ladies, they were butchered and abused so I am waiting to the last possible point to chop, hoping things will plump up a little...but for all they have been through it's a wonder they are going to give me anything...

The girls in the Aeroflo are doing ok. I still think I am lagging a week behind....maybe because of that leaf spotting incident...dunno. They got way bigger than I had wanted, but I will make due. I am having fun with LSTing...and have yet to snap a stem!!! The results are so cool!!!

Just counting down...TRYING to be patient... Completed week 5 when the lights went out Monday evening. Got a lot of tiny bud...just waiting to see em make something of themselves!!

I want to know how you finish and would like to follow the new one as well, if you will direct me to it...or are you going to just continue this one??

Whatever you do, when you finish this grow, don't drop off the face of the earth!!!

Happy 8-)

The ladies are done: trichs are a nice mix of mostly cloudy with a decent amount of amber. I didn't flush this time: had hardly any nutes for the last 2 weeks anyway because of root issues. I'm going to let them have 24 hrs of darkness before I chop them down.

I'll post my dry weight in about a week. Not too impressive but given the circumstances, at least they didn't die.

I'll be picking up 5 clones Saturday. I didn't use the SS in veg mode yet: looking forward to seeing how they do.

Will continue the next grow in this same thread for anybody interested.
