1. going to do all the same strain 2. using a pH meter and drops 3. keep a better eye of what's going on in the rez and not just above it 4. have a fake "wall" of panda film to keep my grow area about the size of my tub (27" x 21") to maximize the SS 5. going to try z7 as an additive instead of aquashield and hygrozyme 6. hopefully not have a water and air pump go bad in the same grow
I had a pretty good one going at the beginning. But like NASCAR, you gotta be around at the end to win!!
Any other suggestions, SME, are greatly appreciated! Anything I missed that I should do differently??
Ahhh, but you did make it to the finish line Rkymtnman!!! You just didn't finish where ya wanted to. But isn't that part of what makes us want to try again?? ??Cuz we know we can and will do better....?? Congrats on making it to that finish line dude, I know had your share of issues along the way!
You may not get the weight you were hoping for, but that still looks like some sweet-a** bud!! I'm willing to bet there is a great big smile on your face when you finally get to hit it!! And if you don't like it, I think I could be happy with it...hahahaha
Are you going to post more pics during trimming and after dry?
Tonight will complete my 6th week!! Thinking that I still have 3-4 to go...but I'm also keeping in mind that I have to start cloning from the Mothers later this week, in prep for the next go-round....which I know will be better for both of us!
Enjoy chopping and trimming the "fruits" of you labor my friend!!
Happy
And you already know I am interested in following your next grow, so if it goes anywhere else keep me posted...
You may want to consider more/smaller plants rather than fewer/larger plants for LED too...

I'll have 5 in 5 inch net pots. the tub is pretty close to 2x3 which seems like good coverage for the SS400. i was thinking switching to 12/12 around a foot ? sound right? or sooner than that? the clones i get are usually 6 inches.
You'll have to experiment but I wouldn't go bigger than 12" for LED...so far.

Hey Rky, For what it's worth, go back and look at the first page of my journal...I switched to 12/12, under a SS400, when I thought mine were small, from 10-13"...and look where I am now, with another 3-4 weeks still to go. Most of them more than doubled in size...some close to triple... Welcome to the jungle!! LOL Don't know if it's the lights, the strain, or something I did...but I will be looking to start smaller than 12" next time....no doubt.
Yeah, I switched to the SS 6 days after I switched to 12/12 and I maybe had 1 to 3 inches of stretch.
I'm hoping at 12", they won't get much bigger.
Hey SME, I was thinking about letting the clones establish for a few days and maybe top each one just once. And then I'd probably be switching to 12/12 a week or 10 days after topping. Sound like a plan? Won't that make them bush out vs. straight up?
Typically, plants will double to triple in size after switching to flower. Topping does tend to make them bushier but it won't make them stretch less during flower and you still have to watch for overcrowding.
You'll figure out what works best for your growing style over time.
