I'm currently a legal Canadian grower. My MMAR prescription allows me to grow 25 plants, so SME helped me plan around this restriction.
I'm currently growing two plants in a 2x4 under LED (check out my journal if you want, Double SS400W Grow, it's the one with 45 pages ). The tent is sealed (supplemented by CO2) and I really liked that. So I decided to go with multiple sealed enclosures. After researching tent prices, I decided to build them myself. I'll be using wood to build the frame and orca grow film to use as walling. Then I'll add a layer of sonopan acoustic panels, and finally some kind of black sheeting to cover it all. DIY RDWC since I'm most familiar with hydro and already invested in all the gizmos (PPM meters, pumps, tubing, chiller, etc.)
Two 4x4 scrog for flower, each running a 1000HPS (that way they run concurrently so the load is altered on the electrical grid) ~12-14 plants
One 4x4 for vegging, probably under my current SS400W ~ 6-8 plants
A 2x2 to keep mothers probably under T5 so they don't grow quickly ~ 1-3 plants (one great sativa, one cbd rich strain, one great indica, ideally)
I'll be converting my current 2x4 tent into a large humidor for drying/curing
The humidor, flower, vegging tents will be sealed, CO2 supplemented and cooled with iceboxes. I'll probably need two iceboxes per flower tent... one icebox on the actual light, one to cool the ambient air. The one advantage of using iceboxes is that you can serialize multiple chillers as you add on enclosures (in the future) to deal with the added BTU of heat you need to remove out of your sealed enclosures.
Since I'm building my own enclosures I may adopt non-standard enclosure sizes, like 3x6 instead of 4x4. Simply because I'm looking to get the OG vertical reflectors, which has an ideal footprint of 3x3. Since I'll be using light movers, the width is less important, as the light will be evenly distributed.
That's the plan so far. Ideally, I'd like to harvest every 25-30 days.
