Whoops. Looks like I posted for thr grower feedback program in the wrong section
Here is a copy of my first post from last week, followed shortly by the second for my journal
Finally getting started with my postings. I received my SolarStorm in May and I have been eagerly waiting to use it. Had to finish my previous grow because I wanted to do a side by side comparison to my current HID. Just plugged in the light 2 days ago. Very impressed so far. Glass is cool enough to the touch and it runs extremely quiet. I will be posting my comparison data and overall happiness (cross my fingers) with this light as soon as I can start tabulating my results over the nest several weeks
So 10 days after I put my 10 Amnezia Haze into veg and 8 days since I first added nutes average plant growth is .8". I have a high of 1" and a low of .5". Pretty happy so far. The plants really seem to like the SolarStorm and I tend to agree. After reading many of the postings on this site and seeing a little bit of heat burn on some of the leaves I have moved the light a little further away from the plants. Currently 2' off the base of all the plants and 17" from the top of my tallest. It's only been a few days since I've done this so a little too early to tell, but I hope they are responding a little better now. I'm planning on a 6 week veg and I keep the room between 72-76 degrees with a humidifier averaging about 60%. I'll check in next week and let you know how things are progressing

I am using a hydro setup. 4" rock wool cubes set in a 4'x4' pan and a 35 gallon reservoir. Started on 21 hour light cycle and have added an hour of sleep weekly. No issues with the SolarStorm yet. Still running perfectly and the plants really seem to be reacting well.
I won a raffle at my local hydro store and got a free line of house and garden products. Very excited!! It took me a week or two to hopefully fine tune the nutrient calculation. About 75% of recommended amount seems to be where the plants are happiest. Interestingly enough with this line of nutrients i cant use my airstones. Over the last week the results have nearly doubled with an average growth of 1.5". Hoping to keep up the great pace. I'll check in next week and let you what changes
I don't know how I missed the ebb/flow part (good meds) but thanks for the update anyway.
Any pictures?

Another week down and I'm still seeing some great results. I'm happy to report that over the past week I have recorded an average growth of over 2.5 inches per plant. The high was 3.25. Lamp is running well and I am now running on an 18/6 schedule. I have decided against any type of trimming to minimize any other type of variables confusing my results. besides that I don't have much to report. Looking forward to moving the plants over to flower in the next 2 weeks.
I don't have a good camera but I should be able to post some in the next week.

Wow, been a little while since i posted.. Sorry work has been crazy. I have been trying to post for the past couple days but it has been a little difficult to load pictures, and i figured i would wait to get it all updated at once. I just started fourth week of flower today and so far everything has been running smooth. Have had a few hiccups with my pump for feeding schedule but never more for a few meals, and i think i have it all straightened out. The light has been running flawless though and so far i am seeding great results. plants are happy, buds are starting to form. Enjoy the picks and i will be able to post more consistently throughout the rest of the grow.
Tomorrow is Day 35 and with an Amnezia Haze grow i should be about halfway through my flowering Got to add my Top Booster today with my water change, and i am very anxious to see what the next week brings with this nute additive Everything running great, no complaints.
I have been reading a lot of the other posts and seeing their complaints about the heat element from this light. I have to admit that i disagree wholeheartedly, granted i am blessed with a good sized space for my grow. I have a portable Home Depot A/C unit that is plugged into a temp regulated timer, so it keeps the room at a pretty consistent temp and only turns on when it gets to warm, for no more than 10 hours a day. i have an 8" inline fan exhausting the room 3-4 times a day (due to my CO2 enrichment), and a 6" inline fan circulating about 4-5 hours a day at 15 minute intervals, both are attached to charcoal filters. i find it very easy keep the temperature a non issue. For those of you prospective LED users NOT growing in a tent and have an actual room for your grow, this light works well.
For those of you using a grow tent i do agree that a modification for heat exhaust for this light is necessary, so that the heat buildup in a smaller space can be adequately dissipated. Don't forget that as CLW is a rather new company, opening the door to a more accessible LED growing market, these forums and GFP's are exactly that, Feedback Programs, so that the masses can point out potential flaws that need to be addressed. As George has IMO already designed a GRADE A LED growlight that can arguably match or come close to that of HID, I am sure he is already hard at work on an attachable upgrade.
Enjoy the pics, i think i figured out how to align them correctly this time
Looking pretty nice! How are you doing your co2, with a controller or something more basic?
