How tall was that wappa at harvest? 1 week early you think?

Looking forward to the post dry/cure report. ;)

24 inches about exactly. Very good sized plant. I do not like the giants.

Question...my water in my buckets is about 75-78...no alge growth since I am adding hydrogen provide every couple days. Any way of keeping it cooler? What I notice is when I open it up to check the ph everyday the air gap between the water and top of the bucket is pretty warm which is to be expected. My buckets are black would some mylar over the top and sides taped on help any? I have a huge roll of the stuff so it would be easy. In retrospect I should of done 5 gallon buckets. Mine are 3.5 gallons with about 2 gallons of water in them...heats up faster.

Because of the heat build up I am changing the water every 5 days just to be sure I don't get any funky stuff. My tent is 76-80 depending on ambient..which I am pleased with.

I will take a pic but man are the Wappas crystaltily. Just covered in crystals and amber hairs looks like a primo smoke imo. Whats funny is I don't even smoke that much...just addicted to the growing hahaha. I haven't actually smoked in weeks.

Ya, you want to keep it as close to 70 (if not lower) as possible for proper o2 absorption. I wrapped my res with bubble insulation. You can usually find it in the furnace department at your home-store. Grab a can of spray contact cement to stick it. (The more expensive the can, the better it sticks).

The only other trick I for ya, (besides running hard lines, and buying a chiller) is kinda ghetto but it works. Freeze some bottles of water and drop them in the res. 1 per day, per res, should work, so if you freeze 4, you can swap them out daily.

Hope this helps! h

Not buying a chiller for 2 bubble buckets..but thanks for the good idea. I will pick up a 12 pack of water bottles and freeze them. What I could do is I have this unused very wide and not that tall rubbermaid thing and I could put my two bubblers in it and fill it up with water along with some ice bottles. I think I shall do that! Then I will get some insulation this weekend. I don't seem to be having a issue with alge though...just fear it. I add peroxide into the mix every other day and roots are nice and white and water is clear...well to a degree there are nutes in it but its def not infested with anything. I was asking more precautionary but I am going to try the ice bottle thing. Thanks!

As long as you keep the light exposure to a minimum, you shouldn't have a problem with algae. Your tote idea sounds good too. h

Yea no light issues I have a sheet of antibacterial white paper on top under the plant like in my pics. I keep it sealed up cept when I am ph balancing and such. I been growing for years but I never pretend to be a expert. I listen to others and if it works it works. It could be why I really never have had a failed grow. Had some issues but I attribute them to bad seeds or a genetic mutant. Oh talking about mutants heres a pic of one I had last year. Thing was repulisve. I wish I had kept her I would of smoked its bud and wore a helmet! It continued to grow but was sooo repulsive that I had to trash it. My evolutionary repulsion to mutation was kicking in.

Yea I knew it was bad seed since I had 3 others going at the same time..same seed same soil, same light, same everything. Oh well how it goes!

Yeah, frozen water bottles help a little but they constantly have to be refrozen and swapped out when they warm up. Also they will displace some water and roots since they do take up space. Yes, you can use mylar or white poly to relfect light/heat from the buckets. There are other things you can do like having a large reservoir which will act like a radiator outside the grow room and a small pump to circulate the contents. It kind of depends on budget, room and amount of money you want to throw at the problem.

I used to use 5 gallon buckets for DWC but, now, even for small plants I'd prefer something much larger. While I, personally, prefer larger plants; even smaller plants would benefit from more than 3-5 gallon buckets. SOG sized plants don't usually have time to build much of a root ball but there are other benefits too.

Perhaps would should add hydro systems and parts to a new discussion series that I proposed with AB (still out there AB?) a while back. ;)
