hemivette wrote:Looking good Bro. Love them airpots. I just had to throw away my agent orange that Ive had vegging in an airpot for 6weeks, then 1 week into flower, and the feminized seed decided she wasnt. Bummer cause it was about 3' tall, a 3' around.
Youll do fine in the bubbles. Are you feeding anything? If so go real light, (Ec .3) they dont need much at this age. Peace. h

Others are just ph balanced water...and I been top feeding them all. How long does it take on average for the roots to grow out of the net pot? The one planted in the bubbler was Jan 28...no rootes yet but she's growing.

Lol! Your kinda the Guinea pig on that one, as it depends on the medium, and how deep they have to go thruogh. In a 4" nettie, They are out the bottom in about a week, but thats in clay, and I plant deep, so they come out quicker. My personal estimate would be about 2" the first week, then they start growing like crazy, and can grow 2" a day. You can give them a bit of feed, especially the one thats a week old. I usually start them out on Clonex rooting solution, for the last half of the first week, (Ec .3) then quarter strength the second week (Ec .6), then around 1.0 on week 3. Remember they are completely dependent on you for food, not like dirt. (lightening of leaves is a tell tale sign of hunger)
Once they start growing, try to water around the edges only so the roots have to look for food. Also hydro is the opposite of dirt when it comes to humidity, and babies. The lower you keep the humidity, the faster they root. Do not use a dome, or spray the plants. (when young)
If they are growing, be happy! the first week in hydro is one of the most critical, after that its all down hill.
Lastly, (I hope Im not speaking too lay for you, I just dont know how much you know) your gonna want some other nutes besides Grow, and Bloom. You "will" need some Cal/Mag, and I also use Bigbud, Bud candy, and B-52 early on, and for finishing I use Koolbloom, and Floralicious. 2 Fantastic finishers that virtually double your yield.
Hope you found something useful in my babbling! h
