Today is day 17 in flower, and there have been a few concerns. I reinstalled my RO system instead of using the local tap water. Initial PPM dropped from >450 to 40, and I'm supplementing with CaMg and silicate. The Plants are all over 44" tall now, and the lights are as high as I can get them in my room. I hope they are done stretching. I don't know if FIMMING them is a good thing at this point, but this morning, I did just that, and got another 6" or so below the lights. One good thing about not having them in a fixed system, I can move them around to get the best light exposure on areas that need it.

I'll get some pix tonight. ROCK ON!

I wouldn't have fimmed it in flower, I would have tied it down to the side. I generally don't cut 1-2 weeks before flower. Some nutrients have different mixes; if the CaMg is helping, keep using it. ;)

They may still stretch a bit depending on genetics, lighting schedules, etc. *shrug*

Put your hand next to your highest growth directly under the light and leave it there a minute to see how hot it feels. If its uncomfortable, your girls will concur. Plus if u burn a growth tip it'll never be the same. These lights do not need to be nearly as close as other leds to work well. Just my opinion but my friend is doing very well backing the light off like George suggests.

Sorry, I just read you've already maxed out height. Supercropping has worked well for many people in the past and despite its benefits it also will drop those really high tips u have.

OK, so I got the terminology wrong, I'm an old man, I'm allowed. What I did was supercrop a few of the taller branches, and two days later they responded very well. I will probably do a bunch more over the weekend. I couldn't get all of the pix I took on the 17th up so I'll add them now, just for information. So far this grow is on track, but I'm concerned about internodal spacing and eventual production. This is a test of these lights, so lets really test them. ROCK ON!

Beautiful room. So few growers keep their shit clean. Let us know what the harvest is like.

SME, what is "shrug"?

Keepin' it clean makes it easier to remember where I put things, so I don't end up buying things I don't need.

If anyone has advice about Sour Diesel, and the strains' idiosyncrancies?, I would sure like some pointers. I've been growing White Widow for awhile, and really don't know this one very well. All thoughts will be considered and appreciated.

A "shrug" is when a person lifts their shoulders, usually signifying uncertainty or sometimes apathy. ;)

I need some help with a couple of questions:

1. I've heard that putting the girls into an extended period of darkness, may increase bud growth. These plants just keep stretching and have grown into the lights. Bud development looks to be about week 2 results, and I thought a little trickery might help. Your comments would be appreciated.

2. I could also remove my table from the room. That would allow another 18" of head room, and give a wider coverage area. It would be a monumental task but worth it in the long run. I think! Any opinions? Hopefully, I won't get "shrugged off".

Thanks for your input, ROCK ON!
