Growers Feedback Program (thanks CLW!). Just received the lamp a few hours ago. Thing is beautiful. Heavy, but well manufactured. Just installed the SS in my 36x20x63 Aviditii Tent which is setup in my closet. I'll be picking up some clones in the next few days.
Been doing a dry test run. Temps are around 80-83 with only Veg on. 165 CFM pulling air out through 4-inch ducting. Also have (1) 6-inch clip-on fan blowing on the side of the SS400, and then (1) 6-inch clip-on fan blowing towards the canopy (or what eventually will be the canopy). I'm also going to be adding a larger 10-12inch fan at the bottom blowing air up from the passive intake, just for better air flow and stronger stem growth. Probably also going to be upgrading my exhaust fan to the TD150xs from S & P(silent series).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Disclaimer: I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.
Not sure on genetics yet. Gonna check out the local dispensary tomorrow morning. The budtender there is really helpful and knows his shit. I've heard good things about AK-47 under a scrog, so I might try that if its available. Any suggestions on genetics or ways to improve this humble little tent?
I couldn't advise much on scrog genetics, it's just too much work for my tastes and I've grown large plants for years. Tent seems ok so far with those temps, as long as it doesn't get too humid. Much warmer and you'll want to add co2. With summer almost over ambient temps should get cooler too...

Thanks SME. I'm planning on upgrading to a slightly larger tent eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later, maybe even come flower time) and i'll probably use this current tent for veg. So that should help with the temps as well. However, once I move into my new place (sometime early next year), temp. and space and everything should be no problem. Just hoping this light will stick with me for the long run.
Hey juice - nice set up. My one suggestion would be to 86 the mounting brackets on that inline fan and suspend it with the small bungees from hd or lowes. It will eliminate vibration and make it MUCH more quiet. You could even put a little attic insulation blanket around it before you hang it to really dampen the noise. I have a duct muffler on the vent side that quiets the exhaust too. Unless you climb up into the attic you'd never know it's there.
Been a little under two weeks since I transplanted the Blueberry Sour D, and they are starting to come along. When I first transplanted, I think I had the light too close (or maybe underwatering) but some of the leaves dried and curled up. I moved up the light to about 30 inches for a few days until the plants came out of shock.
The light is about 22 inches away right now and the new growth is looking wonderful. Not much height added to the plant but the growth seems to be focusing mainly on the sides of the plant which is perfect for my small tent.
Temps still about 75-85, although it only gets up to 85 degrees for an hour or two.
I've given the ladies one small feeding and soon after that I started their first training session. Just tied them down a bit to focus the light on the side of the plants. plants are about 10 inches.
I'm installing a work light tomorrow, so I'll have some pictures up within the next few days. All my other pictures came out way to purple-y.
