So with the new year upon us all and laws progressing in Colorado, I would like everyone's predictions for what the outcome of the medical community in Colorado.

Also is this the beginning of a nation of understanding and compassion for a misunderstood plant?

Could this be a governmental trick?

Will anyone be visiting Colorado to see what it does to the community?

I'm not sure that the owner here wants political discussions since there isn't a political section but I'll let this one go, for now, unless it gets out of control like political discussions often do. If it *does* get out of hand, I'll lock it and then delete it.

I have no predictions regarding one specific state, I think the feds will eventually reschedule and turn it over to the individual states. Short term: most will pass mmj laws but fewer will decriminalize for recreational use until the first states have some kind of results based on crime rates, revenue generation, etc.

The "beginning" was California's Prop 215, back in 1996, which was the first mmj law and *that* was passed by a voter initiative not the state government.

Trick? Not likely but I'm not a conspiracy theorist either... ;)

hey pm,

i'm in Colorado and loving every minute so far....

pueblo county made $5k in the first day in taxes. i think they said that is usually their monthly tax amount. only 2 shops open too in the county

if people are smart and don't abuse the system (there WILL be idiots who do and will be widely publicized), it will work. 55% of the people voted to legalize it. that is a huge margin of victory. so the people have spoken and unbelievably, got their way!
