Proper Pot size for CLW 440's

Hello all! :D

I have a question, since I have read soooo much about CLW and now that I'm purchasing 2 440's for a4x6 tent ( one one each side and one 220 bloom in between. Now I asked previously on third forum if that would be sufficient for the tent size and my conclusion is YES!!

My question is, since I've read so many people saying make sure you don't let them get taller than 12" prior to flippin to flower unless you want trees, ( which I don't), what size pots should I use to get nice 2'-2 1/2' plants? I know there are so many variances ( genetics, condition, nutes....ect. ect.) so I am using shorter indica dom hybrids and air pots.

What I was thinking was 1/2 gal- 1 gal for veg, then anywhere between 2-3 gallon? I plan to have between 5-6 on each side,( perpetual grow) for a total of 10-12 plants, my legal limit. I will not be scroging and don't want a jungle so what do you all think? I remember reading one post where someone used a 3 gallon with a 440 and got a BUSH!!

Thanks for the input in advance :D

Both my plants are anywhere between 22-27 inches and there 5 weeks in to flower. I am only using 3 Gal Smart Pots. My Autos are in 3 Gal Air pots. and i am in a 3'x3'x6' tent. And i have 1 440w and 1 400w in that tent.

Also it depends on the strain. Indicas will stay shorter while sativas grow much taller. Now iam new to the growing thing so who knows i might be wrong. But there's some pretty good people on here that might have better info then what i have ! Good Luck with the grow! I am excited to see your set up!

Thanks for the reply man!

Yea I'm stoked for this to get under way, I think I'm going to do the same and use 3 gal air pots, as I want to keep the plant height at around 2-2 1/2 ft. Predominately indica dominant strains.

I'm going with two 440's in a approx 4x5 tent ( wanted a 3x6, but no reputable company sells that dimension of tent!!! Don't know why, but that will be a hydro hut silver. The veg will be a 4x4 jardin with one 220 I think it will work great! I'll be posting in the next month once all is up and ready to go.
