LED Grow Light Forum

As with most seasoned growers I think I'm very skilled in a grow room , always open to learn tho. And until using the ClW 400 AND 800WATT FULL CYCLE LED'S I would not even listen to the "LED vs HPS" argument . For me , seeing is believing , talk means nothing.......show me the finished nug! Well after many years with HPS , and now about a year with the 400/800 CLW LED'S I can say that they are superior in everyway, can't friggin believe it! And they penetrate 2 ft further with close to half the power pulled, AND AGAIN - This is first hand experience with hundreds of plants grown to make this statement, HPS isn't going away due to price but have no illusions if I go up against any grower with the same genetics and atmosphere & I have the Solarstorm 800watt vs his 1000hps ..........he loses in total weight EVERY time. period

While I like CLW products I have to disagree with your claim that they penetrate 2 feet further than a 1000w HPS because they don't. Additionally, if you consistently beat a 1000w HPS yield with a SS800w light then the HID grower isn't much of a grower.

As you say, talk means nothing; show me the journal where any LED that's 40% less power yields over 1000 grams of top-shelf flowers and I'll change my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I like CLW products and I think they're one of the best LED grow lights out there but I've seen no evidence that backs up your claims. In fact, I've seen evidence in the journals here that verify that smaller LED lights just can't keep up with larger HID lights.

sistermary, I don't just talk, everything I said I can back up with as much or MORE weight than a 1000 watt hps . I own a hydro store and have tested lights against each other for years , until CLW showed me what they could do I wouldn't even listen to the same argument.......also I was using the FRESCA SOL water cooled reflector which blows air cooled away (proved that to myself over 2 years ago) Don't blame you for wanting to see it to believe it , I said the same, but myself and dozens of my customers can & would love to show you the proof. So far you've done nothing except talk. You've provided absolutely zero details. Hydro or soil? Nutrients and additives? Genetics? Clone or seed? CO2? Temps and humidiity? Square footage of your grow area/tent? How long/tall did you veg? How tall when you harvested? Do you have pictures? Nothing but talk so far...

There are no top-shelf LED grows from a 600-ish watt LED yielding over 1000 grams and a 1000W HPS is capable of even more than that. While you might have beaten your own HID yield that's a completely different animal. I don't think you've done the math required to back up your claims.

Feel free to start a SS800w journal, here in the forums, and try to prove it but we have enough journals here already for me to know, without going to Chicago, that your claims don't match reality. I'd *love* to be proven wrong so...prove me wrong, if you can.

As I said, I like CLW products and they have a great customer support reputation but there's no need to "exaggerate" results. That won't help sales; it'll hurt them in the long run. Feel free to check out our completed journals and you'll see why your claims are suspect.

funny thing about just "talking" is that online thats all EVERYONE including you is doing , I've talked to thousands of growers face to face and unless your there for the harvest , pics , journals your friends vouching for ya .....all talk have to agree to disagree , I only talk about what I do & see , & my journal is the total weight at harvest minus the cost to operate......many guys shut down here in the summer cus of heat , not anymore. peace

Still no proof, just talk without details. *I* can back up my opinions with many of the grow journals here. You don't have to believe them, of course, but we don't have to believe outlandish claims without a grow journal for proof either.

I don't blame you for not wanting to back up your claims with real proof by starting a grow journal here. Too funny.
