Hello, Also new to LED and growing! Has anyone tried the 'Haight Solid State' lights? I am told they are 100% U.S. made, and top of the line.
Any comments appreciated!

I wouldn't buy one, too small and too expensive. So far, the only LED I'd even consider is the CLW SolarStorm but it's too expensive and not enough light for me either.

I have been using a The RhinoGrow 400series for a few months now. The lights out put is comparable to 400watts. The Light has been working great and handling 4 plants perfectly. I have it in a 5x5 secret jardin tent which im going to add one more Rhino to a soon as i can offored it. Then i will have 2 400series over 6 plants. Pretty new to LED lights but i am very excited to learn more. Have you ever heard of these guys?

Welcome to the forums! :D

I've never used one but I checked them out quickly. They claim to yield 90% of a 400w HPS (which I doubt) with their 172w LED light. I don't know how much they cost but it would take 4 of them to equal 1 SolarStorm and the RG still wouldn't have the more powerful 5w diodes. Oh, I see on Amazon that they cost 750.00 each. I wouldn't pay that for that light...but that's just me. Glad you're happy with it... ;)

YMMV...

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing your results. Unfortunately, most people that have been testing LED lights either didn't complete their journals or had problems during their grow that impacted their results. I'm hoping to see the SS reach the 1gram/watt (or better) mark but none have so far. I'm not sure how long they last, I don't work for CLW, but I think it's the standard 50,000 life span with a 3 year guarantee. Some of the early ones had a problem, we're told, but *everyone* raves about the customer service at CLW.

*shrug*

Yeah i think rhinogrow claims there lights last 80,000 hours, we will see. i was hoping to get at least 1.5 grams per LED "watt"
what were some of the problems they had?

I'm not sure, you'd have to hit their website and check, it could be more. I hope you *do* get 1.5g/w, it would be the best led grow so far. All of the typical issues, heat, over-crowding, over-vegging, broken equipment, nutrient/ph issues, life, etc. There's always something... ;)

Hello, Im new to the forum. The best light in my eyes as far as LED is Stealthy Samaritan LEDs. I just received my first one and I'm blown away. These lights are the cream to the LED crop. The results from these lights are unbelievable!!! After seeing a couple of buddy s lights, and the results they were getting, I had to have one. I have ordered another now and it cant get here fast enough. The Solarstorm LED by California Lightworks is 800 watts and ideally covers an area of 4 feet x 4 feet, and that is producing okay results. My Stealthy Samaritan LED is only 200 watts and covers a space of 5 feet x 5 feet with excellent coverage and intesity. This is because the quality of a custom made Stealthy Samaritan LED blows away any I have seen. As soon as i figure out how to post pics on here... I will.

There is no way that a 200w LED will properly cover a 5x5 area for mj plants, period. Your claims are suspicious... :(
