Hello everyone! i am new to the forum and to the growing scene in general.. and super excited to get started.

I recently purchased a CLW SolarFlare 220W FullCycle for my box that I just built yesterday, and realized that i have a bit more room in the box than this light covers..

My question is, Is adding another CLW SolarFlare 220W FullCycle to my existing one be just as good as the SolarStorm 440W? Id love to just buy another Flare,, but if im going to be missing out on something with the storm...shit.

Here are pics of my setup:

I cant tell you whats right or whats wrong! You will miss out on the UVB on the SS series . However dont underestamate that little 220w. I have the 110w SF on 3 Autos and its doing the job !

your cabinet looks kick-ass. i would just double test it that it is light-tight. that will prolong your flower phase for sure.

what are the dimensions of it? just by the pix it looks like 220 is way under -sized.

UV is critical to growing potent MJ. the plant will produce trichs/resin as a sort of sunscreen from the sun's uv. guess what? we like the that response mechanism.

The box is 3'8" - 2' - 6'..
Damn.. ehh sounds like I want the solarstorm.. or If it's easy enough to add uvb bulbs to the box..?

I contacted growers house where I bought the light and they just recommend getting another 220 full cycle cause I can spread the light out more.. they didn't mention the added uvb in the solar storm..

I'd go for a min of 50watts/sq ft. You'd need about 366 watts for that. Another 220 would work in my opinion.

And nineandfive is correct. you can get the UV bulbs from CLW or most pet/reptile stores have them. It's a 10.0 UVB bulb. I have 3 UV bulbs in my room that just use cheap under-cabinet 15" T8 fixtures from Walmart. Like 12 bucks for the fixture and bulbs are about 15 bucks.
