I wouldn't be too eager to cut those buds. If that blue dream is anything like the one I grow it could flower anywhere from 8-12 weeks. They look like they are ready for awhile.. But they just continue to swell and develop more trich's. Truly amazing plant to grow.. I Have seen yields of 1500-1700 grams of big tight buds.. no popcorn here from 2 600 hps's.
Could be a different cut.. All of my genetics are the true versions made famous on the streets and not from any seed banks so I don't know how your plants grow.. This will always be one of my favorite strains to grow even though she can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Not really--- she just like's to tease you will lots of nug porn for about a month or more.. Fooling novice growers into picking her premature.
There will always be different pheno's of the same strain.

Don't listen to the books or me for that matter let the girls tell you when the right time is. That's what I do.. Sometimes I might pull a strain on day 63 of flower for one high or 70 for another. This is when the chemical development is at it's peak and can adjusted to taste/desired effects.

Well I wish you the best of luck.
And wish you well in finding the right day to pick your girls.

Thanks man. Honestly, you told me just what I needed to hear. I have been thinking in the back of my mind this thing could probably go for a week or more before its ready. I've been pressured by friends who want to be the first to buy some. But you know what? F*** it I'm going to let it go till its all the way done. You've just convinced me. Thanks for the pep talk!! I needed that.

Blue Dream Harvest

Hey everyone, so I finally chopped her today! Ill let the pictures do most of the talking. Looking at everything wet, it appears to be about 2 oz, maybe more since it's pretty dense bud. For my next round, I need to fill up the screen better so I am using two clones (already been vegging, just topped). I may also use the sf200 bloom to flower which would use less power than the Hps and be a pretty nice fit in this tent.

Doesn't seem like a lot of yield, but keep in mind its from a single plant that only reached about 10" from base of stem to the highest bud! I attribute the compact height to the intense training methods I used. I will report back with dry weight, hoping it tops 2! I'm thinking if I can fill the screen fully, this setup should be able to yield 3 with even with blue dream genetics, just a guess though.

I already sampled a bit of bud I removed last week, and taste is fantastic and very clean! This is some of the best bud I've ever produced and I'm proud if it. Tastes noticeabley cleaner and smoother than my first led run (no over nute this time!). The flavor had notes of grapefruit and pine. 8-)

2oz from a 250w hps isn't much but, as you said, the screen wasn't full so you had a lot of empty space that would have added more yield. I wonder how a SOG grow would perform with that setup...

I'm looking forward to the next run!

Yeah, sog would be an interesting experiment. I googled it and saw the 4 plant/ sq foot number recommended. My space is 16" square so I guess 4 would still be about right for it? They mentioned the plants yielding about 1/2 oz each on the high end though which would still give me 2 oz. If my scrog really did yield 2 ( just a guess at this point) then it seems that a full screen should in theory beat out a sog? Maybe the sog would perform better in my larger tent? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this 8-)

Actually, a high density SOG, in your space, would be 8-10 plants (from clone not seed) and you'd skip the topping/training and flower while they're small. That gives you a full area with a shortened veg time and a lot of main colas which is your biggest flower. Perpetual SOG grows are one of the highest yielding but it takes more work/risk to clone more plants.

A low density SOG would be 4-5 plants flowered when they're about 10-12 inches tall, again, skipping the training and topping.

SCROG tries to emulate SOG by training a smaller number of plants to get a full canopy/screen but you still don't usually beat the size of a main cola at each screen site.

Thanks for the info, SME. I think I may give the low density SOG a try, because I have 4 clones that are pretty equal in size. I already topped the two of them thinking I was going to scrog it. However, I think it can still work out well this way because of the low plant count. I'll add two plants into the 7 gal container that's there now and continue to veg a bit.

I've got a 2x2 going now with the prosource 180 light and an old school northern lights and headband, so I will
Include photos and updates about that here as well, to try and keep things led related 8-) .

Good deal, start new threads for your new grows and we'll see how they go... ;)
