Thanks SME I might switch them this weekend or when I get back on Sunday. We will see how it goes. I just switched out the res with week 3 nutes. Probably won't hit week 4 at all before I switch them to week 5 bloom nutes. There looking happy and I can tell they loved the water change because of how much they perked up! I will post again once I switch to flower. Maybe pics too.

if you are pretty sure you want to stick with DWC (and I would. it's about the best method out there), a chiller is very important. you can get by with putting frozen water bottles in your res but that gets old quick. without one, you're sure to have root problems.

Hey RKY I finally bought a water chiller and it's in the mail, no more annoying water bottles and ice packs. So is 65 the ideal temp I should keep my water at ?

nice work BC! it will be well worth it in the long run.

yep, 65 is perfect. max 68. i've read you don't want it lower than 62.

when you get done with the grow, i usually run like a clearex/florakleen thru the chiller to reduce any salt buildup in the chiller itself

Awesome I will make sure to keep it at those temps and to run that at the end of my grow. I just switched to flower, they really filled up while I was away. I will try to post pics tomorrow as they are in lights off right now.

Hey guys sorry I haven't had photos in awhile my brother is borrowing my nice camera, but I got a few with my iPad so you can see how it's going. It's day 29 day two of flower. Ppm was at 510 but it dropped to 490 these girls are hungry going to add some more nutes tonight. Temp is at 75 during light on and 65 lights off. 12/12 schedule. Here's a pic of the girls with LED on and off, you can see I have a 2700k and a 7000k cfls in the corners. Also here is a pic of the biggest fan leaf, got a little light burn because I was gone a few days and it got real close to the light, but it was the only one effected. 6 out of 8 are just have one main stock and are growing tall with one cola. 2 were already split as clones and are more of bushes with two main colas. If the roots weren't so crazy or I'd move the smaller ones together. Next time I need to put them in order of shortest to tallest before there roots are entangled then I can just lean the light to match the canopy. :ugeek: Happy growing everybody!

That looks like more of a magnesium deficiency than nuteburn. How's it look now?

Thanks SME for checking on my grow. I thought it was light burn not nute burn and it didn't spread anymore once I switched to flower nutes. I will look closer to see if it is a mag deficiency. I've been gone a few days but I will check on them tomorrow and if there is any new spots or anything going on I will post pictures. I went to the mountains and got snowed in an extra two days so I'm hoping they didn't get too close to the light and the ph didn't change too much. Water change tomorrow with week 6 nutes.

Has any one herd or tried doing a 3day dark period right before harvest? I read a few places that it boost resin production at the end. Might try it unless you guys think otherwise.

Also herd of doing a 38hr dark period first day of flower so they instantly know it's flower and start to bud earlier. Can't try that this time but maybe next.

You don't need to add additional/extended dark periods at flower nor at harvest time. ;)
