WaterFarm Project

So a couple months back i walked in to the local hydro store and they had GH Water Fams on sale... So i figured what the hell and thought i would try one out. Now with that said i figured i would post a grow journal on here cause in all honest i am not to sure if i know what the hell i am doing lol ... This will be my first time experimenting with hydro i guess you can say. Pro Mix is my usual thing !

Anyway i modded the water farm in the ways that all the grow journals said to ... I drilled in twice as many hole and also added a 4 inch air stone to the bucket.

For nutes i got the GH Flora series that came with the Water Farm but also spent the $60 and upgraded the line up with the GH Performance Pack. I REALLY wanted to use my Green Planet Nutes with this but doing the run i just finished with and never using GH Flora before i figured i would try this out.

I started 1 Cali Connection Grape OG and 1 Humboldt Seed Organization EWE-2 in rapid rooter ( I have never used RR before but now i must say i am a 100% complete fan of now) . I started both seeds cause they were freebies and figured i would use them up on the experiment before i got in to some of my other more treasured seeds. Keep in mind tho this is just one water farm so unfortunately one seed is going to die. I don't want to run water and dirt at the same time. I actually walked away with 13.6 Ounces off my Blue Dream so i am pretty sure iam stocked up enough on meds lol....

Everything has been going well for the first week and now the start of the second week of veg. It was the Cali Connection Grape OG that won the race to be the first water farm experiment for me !

The nutes i have dialed down alot and have been perfectly in the PH range of 6 even and my PPM is sitting at 500-600 PPM which is exactly half of what GH feed chart says it should be in.

I also added my little 110W Solar Storm Veg Master to the Vegging mix. Which has been kinda interesting cause i have never used it coincide my 400w and 440w. SO ( if i am wrong about this i apologies but ) I should be ruffly around 550 watts of pure vegging goodness ! Both the bigger solar storms are 30 inches above with a very slight tilt towards the middle with the 110w sitting at 26 inches dead center.. My cheap ass Lux meters says that all three combined are laying down 30000 lux and all this in my 3x3 tent..... Things should get interesting !

Any one who has used the water farms before or wants to give some tips or pointers please feel free to chime in. Ill take any advice good or bad lol

Well With Week 2 done and week 3 now on the move i have to say that for my first ever waterfarm grow i am completely blown away! This thing is awesome ! lol My Grape OG Looks amazing in my eyes. I have no nute problems or any problems of any sorts at the moment. As far as i can tell shes happy healthy and loving life ! I have been actually very lucky so far with the PH it seems to stabilize at 6.0 and seems to stay there. Ive only had to adjust it once in the last 9 day. Also i am kinda surprised that the roots are in the bottom bucket already. I kinda figured that come this week they would of now started touching the water but to my surprise there about half the length down in the bottom bucket. Well i am not complaining at all at the moment ! lol

Ok so Week 3 officially done and moving on to week 4 ! I can say that in all honesty everything has been going pretty good up in till this point. I haven't had any problem until yesterday. Which in my opinion isn't anything drastic yet. For some reason the temps have been sitting very well around the 72 f mark with humidity at 70. However this morning i opened up my tent to find the temp at 88f and humidity at 80%. No big worries till i noticed some signs of stress and a couple little brown spots on her what iam thinking is Cal/Mag issues.

This whole time Ive been following the GH feed chart at half strength. The water has been at a consistent 6 ph and the nutes ( Because i was at half strength and showed NO signs of problems ) the ppms were sitting on the half mark of full strength 600-700 ppm. I have uped the cal/mag from 1 tbsp to 2 tbsp. Other then that i guess its see what happens next. Her fan leaves are Frickin humungous and shes a great color and growing very well actually. In a 2 week time shes stretched 4 inches

Hello Dank Den ! I ve kinda neglected to post anything this last week due to the fact that Spring has come and my deck outside was looking like hell ! SO after a meer 40 plus hours of sanding and painting i finally found sometime to post up some pics! Now yesterday was the end of 5 weeks of veg. 2 weeks ago i did run in to problems which iam pretty sure was nut burn. I am actually having a hell of a time trying to figure this lady out. Shes hungry like crazy but just dosent want anymore nutes then what i feed her lol. There is a bit of damage on the leaves but everything else seems to be doing fine.

As of this morning i flipped the light to bloom mode and feed her some nice bloom nutes. I kept things pretty simple ph at 5.8 and temp sitting at 22c humidity is in at 50% and the PPM clocked in at 500ppm. Its a bit high but like i said i cant find a happy medium with this one.

Also i know that in the beginning i said i was going to get rid of the EWE 2 but i just couldn't bring myself to do it. However she is doing just fine. No complaints from me or her. But then again she does come from HSO which i have said ( and my personal opinion ) that there genetics are awesome ! Anyhow enjoy the pics and if you see something that looks off please feel free to comment ! Ill take any advice good or bad HAHAHA !
