Looking forward to some new pic's at your next update.

Kip made a thread so will discuss any no KIP grow related ideas there :)

No worries about getting off topic, i actually don't mind at all i just thought i'd put my two cents in on my setup, thanks for the courtesy though AB, hope all is well with your grow i havent checked tho forum in a while, ill have update soon to come, i probably shouldn't post any pics of my other grow in this thread so now I'm going to keep it SolarStorm grow only.

Okay i fired up the autopots today, i filled the res and pH the water to 6.0, no need to check ec because the water does not recirculate, i filled the res with about fifteen gallons of what the nutrient chart says for week three of veg which was about... 50ml of grow, 40 ml of micro, and 40 ml of bloom.

i might have to do a couple waterings above the soil for the next few days because the roots may not be long enough to be water fed from below but ill let the plants tell me if they need it before i do it.

Thanks for watching here are a few photos.

Another update

There are a couple of stragglers and the clones are taking a bit longer to start vegetative development other than that i am seeing rapid growth now that they're in the autopots and I've got the airdomes fired up, I'm considering flipping to the 12/12regime sooner than the fourth week from seed, if i were to stick to my original plan i would be changing over on the 3rd of Jan. The reasoning behind the early flip is that i don't want too much of a stretch.

I guess you all will know on the next update. Thanks to the five people on this forum that are watching lol.

So Far so good man as you can tell they're definitely working in veg, I'm not sure about flower yet but i should be flipping to 12.12 in about a week or so, feel free to watch my progress

What i can tell you about this led fixture compared to others that i have used, is that it is definitely brighter, the five watt diodes will literally blind you if you look into them for too long because they are putting out high intensity light. Im not sold on the UVB until i see some results but the idea is great.

The half off deal that we are getting is awesome, you will not find an 800 watt fixture like this one for anywhere near the price, and George is really good at getting back to you with your questions, and is taking a large interest in how these lights work out.

Thanks for stopping by enjoy the grow if you decide to keep watching

FYI:

It's not really an 800w light, that's just marketing speak. It may have 160 5w diodes but it uses significantly less watts depending on which mode is selected (veg/flower/boost) because they're not all on and the higher wattage the diode the less efficient they are. The light really only uses 450 to 620 watts depending on mode selection which is around what a 500w - 700w LED light would use if it used 1-3w diodes. Manufacturers often "rate" their lights based on how many diodes x wattage of each diode but a more accurate label would be watts used.

Cool, thanks for getting back to me. Ive been using 4 240 Blackstars, in a small area, and am actually pretty happy with the results, rock hard buds ect., but I have now built a 4x4x6'8" cab, with a Stadium Aeroponic system, so I need a little more power.

Whats up with the diaries on this site? Its like 6 entries and its over. My last one was over 20 pages??????

Thanks for the input. You'll be seeing me. h

I'm not saying that it's a bad LED light or that it won't work, I'm just saying that you shouldn't expect 800w output.
