Hey Eek, yeah...they are gettin their stank on!!! Thank Heavens for carbon filters. Not real happy with the pics my 12 year old 2.1 megapixel camera takes, but it does the job. Other than the "issues" the plants are having, I am happy with the grow. Learning lots about ph, grow mediums, nutrients, and the like. Hope to up my IQ in the grow arena. It is certainly a fun hobby. I have other things I'd like to take a stab at. Like Peppers(all kinds), Bonsai's and more exotic flowers, but cannabis will always have a pace in my garden!! My family loves the free smoke
Take care and I'll swing on oven to check out your grow!!

You don't want clear trichomes as much as you want cloudy trichomes but it is up to you.
I look forward to the final dried weight and smoke test impressions...

Hello all, Today, both tents got the chop. The buds in tent 1 with the 250w MH/HPS were pretty dense, but the buds in tent 2 with the Solar Storm were ROCK hard, and the main colas went all the way down the plant. The pics were deceiving throughout the grow, for the pics after being chopped and having a hand in the background gave the buds some depth. I am overall pleased with the the whole grow, and have learned some new and old things to do on my next grow. I will let you all know finished dry weight next week. I have them in a drying closet, weigh the whole lot, then give a bunch away, and cure some for the long haul for myself. As a participant to California Lightworks LED, I do suggest to anyone, that this unit, the Solar Storm 400 is well worth having in your grow room. Now on to the bud porn....
p.s SME the trics were about 60 amber after I checked you last comment. Thanks for all your kind words, and input. I do appreciate you helping me and other growers,to up our growing IQ!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Hello everyone, what a weekend!!! The weather went from a cool 45* Thursday, up to 73* through today. I chopped the Afghan Kush Ryders, and had them in the drying cabinet for 5 days. With the weather climb, it got a bit too dry. I checked the humidity yeserday afternoon at 3 and it was @ 77%.(should have pulled em). So I let it go until this afternoon @ 3, and the humidity was @ 62%!!! Missed it by a few percent. Probably not good for the long cure as I blew the sweet spot for long curing. Anyway, gonna give it to family and friends and save a nug for myself. The finished weight of 4 plants was 318 grams. Not a bad haul for a new grower in my opinion. All I know is, the folks where I live are happy for the free smoke!! I hope you all like my grow journal, and am glad I got to take California Light Works LED's out for a test drive. I do like their lights, and am confident in the hands of a experienced grower, they could do some major yields with this LED. I appreciate All you have helped me with SME!!! You have made this a memorable experience, and I appreciate you knowledge and kind words of encouragement. Please feel free to ask questions of comment. I thank you all for looking in. Best of luck with all, Briman

318 for both tents? Do you know how much each tent was?
Start a new journal and we'll see if we can beat that next time...

Yeah, gonna try a few thing different this next grow. Going to germ and drop into final pots, make damn sure my ph stays inline, by letting the water and nutes sit about 20 minutes, take another reading and administer. Add dolomite lime to amend the soil to help with ph. Molasses to feed carbs to the mycos, plus add a bit of cal/mag to the soil. I am confident that with some tweaking, I can get er done!!! After this next grow, I think I will try another grow medium. I am not going to bad mouth any companies, for there are enough people out there who can make all mediums work. For me as of now, I have not found the sweet spot for my current soil. I planted an outdoor garden last weekend, and bought a bail of Sunshine mix #4 aggregate with myco. After playing with it all day Saturday, I will give it a go next time. Thanks, briman

Sorry SME, I did not get a weight on each tent. I will do that next run as well. For yield purposes, I would see wanting to know differences in yield between the MH/HPS and the Solar Storm. Lots of thing to do different, til I find my sweet spot as a grower. Some times we have to fall so we can pick ourselves back up!!! I will say this....The friends and family did report back that the smoke was a heavy hitter. The high was super heady. Hashy, earthy flovor, very subtle. No harshness on the inhale or the exhale, and that was without a cure of any kind. I would suggest to anyone, if you want a heavy hitting autoflowering kush strain, Afghan Kush Ryder is definitely a go to!! Thanks, briman
