Solarstorm400 Arrived 4.5.13

When I first opened the box I was impressed with the overall quality of the light compared to several others I've owned. Love that there's no huge ballast, the all-in-one unit so much easier to set-up.

Penstemon starts also arrived in mail same day. Cannabis starts were already here under fluorescents. First night I realized the power of the light; got a bit too close to the starts. Too close to the sun! I raised the light another foot.

Took photos 4.7.13 for grow log.

I merged your threads so they'd be together; no need for new threads every time. ;)

Yep, I gave my plants a good sun burn the first couple days I had my SS400.

Here we are 13 days later, well recovered... happy, happy, happy. Noticed excellent root structure when transplanting. Next stop... more controlled environment. Enjoying this forum more than I thought. An old dog groundskeeper can learn new tricks.

Environment control? Check. Pleased with rate of growth 6 weeks from Solarstorm arrival. Can't wait to get a few tomato starts going too.

Electric bill. Check. Saving at least $20/month. Check. Plants look beautiful - no leaf drop PERIOD - ready to take starts then on to bloom. Love me some Solarstorm!
