I'm currently a legal Canadian grower. My MMAR prescription allows me to grow 25 plants, so SME helped me plan around this restriction.

I'm currently growing two plants in a 2x4 under LED (check out my journal if you want, Double SS400W Grow, it's the one with 45 pages  ). The tent is sealed (supplemented by CO2) and I really liked that. So I decided to go with multiple sealed enclosures. After researching tent prices, I decided to build them myself. I'll be using wood to build the frame and orca grow film to use as walling. Then I'll add a layer of sonopan acoustic panels, and finally some kind of black sheeting to cover it all. DIY RDWC since I'm most familiar with hydro and already invested in all the gizmos (PPM meters, pumps, tubing, chiller, etc.)

Two 4x4 scrog for flower, each running a 1000HPS (that way they run concurrently so the load is altered on the electrical grid) ~12-14 plants
One 4x4 for vegging, probably under my current SS400W ~ 6-8 plants
A 2x2 to keep mothers probably under T5 so they don't grow quickly ~ 1-3 plants (one great sativa, one cbd rich strain, one great indica, ideally)
I'll be converting my current 2x4 tent into a large humidor for drying/curing

The humidor, flower, vegging tents will be sealed, CO2 supplemented and cooled with iceboxes. I'll probably need two iceboxes per flower tent... one icebox on the actual light, one to cool the ambient air. The one advantage of using iceboxes is that you can serialize multiple chillers as you add on enclosures (in the future) to deal with the added BTU of heat you need to remove out of your sealed enclosures.

Since I'm building my own enclosures I may adopt non-standard enclosure sizes, like 3x6 instead of 4x4. Simply because I'm looking to get the OG vertical reflectors, which has an ideal footprint of 3x3. Since I'll be using light movers, the width is less important, as the light will be evenly distributed.

That's the plan so far. Ideally, I'd like to harvest every 25-30 days.

Been struggling with my grow, its only been one thing after another. I finally am able to control the temps then I find my self in stem rot, with beginning stages of root rot. I flushed my res last night and treated the root rot.

Now I am thinking of moving out of the cab and into my 2x4 tent...The 2x4 tent is Ebb & Flow and my Cab is DWC...

My water temps range from 76-78 degrees but apparently thats to hot for DWC so I figured I might go Ebb and Flow, any advice?

You can put water bottles in the freezer and add it to the DWC res until you can afford a water chiller.

But with the way my system is set up, Its going to be a PIA.

I'm going to try and do Ebb & Flow and keep the res tank on the out side of the tent, do you think thats possible?

Is a water chiller not a possibility for you?

Well its possible but just not with my Cab and the DWC I have...

Is it possible to stretch the hose so my res sits on the outside of the tent and not on the inside; it'll make cleaning the res and adding neuts much easier if I dont have to do it when the res is in the tent.

The chiller has to shit outside the cab anyway, so why can`t you add a chiller to your current dwc grow?

Do you see pics of my DWC system? Google Super Closet Deluxe, you see that bin, thats my DWC- its going to be a pain to run the house into the cab and then run it into the res tank and I also dont want to run another 150w every hour..

I might as well go to Ebb & Flow and just drop water bottles in it and not have to worry about the water bottles getting wrapped around roots.

I'm heading to the hydro store now and I'll pick up the plumbing and I'll post some pictures. Thus far my plants reacted nicely to the SS-400 but I need my health of the plants to be better before I check how the light growth is.

You could always drill a hole in the cab for plumbing.

Yes, you can put the chiller and cooling res outside the cab, you'd just need an additional water pump and a cooling wart.

If you use an external recirculating res then you COULD put the ice bottles in the external res and the roots won't get tangled. Ebb & Flow works too. Each has pros and cons...
