Well taking the plunge!

Med grow, back spasms, stress and liver pain (Hep C and gall stones)

Ordered light and expect delivery by the 30th.

Grow cabinet - 48" X 30" X 74", will be partitioning off to a length and width of 36" X 30"

Ocean Forest soil, starting in 3" pots, will transplant into 3 gallon Smart Pots.

General Hydroponics nutes.

Water source, at present I have plenty of captured rain water (pH 7.16, ppm 10) but if needed I will be using RO.

Seed stock - 5 Querkle (8.5 out of 10)rating, a cross of Purple Urkle (mother) with award-winning Space Queen. Started germination on the 24th and have three that have popped already, hope that is a good sign of things to come.

I will be be vegging under 260 watts of CFL's, in a closet indoors, till plants are strong enough and the weather cools a bit to move them to my cabinet. Considering a SCROG, but may let them veg, top a few times and go to a bush.

Going to need some help adding pictures!

What would be a good nute schedule to follow, any ideas?
Will be asking more question, hope to get some responses.

Hi GR865,

Just peeking in on your dirt grow. I have no experience with dirt: started with hydro.

But for ferts, in my outdoor greenhouse, I use Age Old Fish n' Seaweed and it absolutely kills it!

My only suggestion is that you follow Lucas: he took alot of time to figure out that weed needs 1:1:2 of ferts. So I would say, find what you can get your hands on and try to get the similar NPK ratio.

But this LED will give you more than you can ask for. At some point, the lights, nutes, humid, temp, etc etc becomes a limiting factor. This thing won't grow a tree. But it will grow alot of nice bushes.

Ocean Forest is a little hot for most strains you may want to cut it with some light warrior say a 50/50 mix or you may have nute burn right from the start. Have you bought your soil yet?????? If not I would recommend Black gold potting mix

Thanks FKY, I am looking forward to this grow, but will be needing some help and guidance.
I am now trying to figure out how to make pics smaller so I can post.
Three out of the 5 Querkle seeds germinated so far, one did not make it two days, the other two are looking ok.
Going to try and germ the two Grand Daddy Purples this week. Hope to get at least two hopefully three ladies out of this.

Hoping I have figured out how to decrease the size of the photos.

Thanks Harley, I have bought the soil and have three germed seeds in 3 inch pots now, two have sprouted. Had four but one sprouted and last one day. I also have three more seeds germing now. Will cut the soil with and perlite before I plant the three seeds.
I am going to need more soil when I transplant so I will get another soil, Black Gold, and mix the two together.

Got the SS400 today and it looks great, have not installed, have plants under CFL's to veg in my closet, until it gets a little cooler where I have my cabinet.
Of the 5 Querkle seeds three germinated, one died right away. One other is in soil and waiting to pop the surface, one is still in damp paper, should germ soon. So as of right now I have two Querkle plants under CFL's. I have two Grand Daddy Purples just out of an overnight soak and between damp paper sheets, should be ready to plant in a day or two.again hope to get at least 3 ladies out of this grow.
Going to plug in the light tonight just to see how it looks.

Wow unpacked the light just now, plugged it in and OMG, it is so bright. Can't wait to get the plants under it.

Naw GR, I stumble & fumble...but I am learning. Rky has more experience than I do...He has been a big help to me...which this is my first really serious grow. Prior I had just messed around from time to time with a few plants.
So I am pretty much a newbie myself. We just share what we learn and bounce ideas off each other....join us and we might all become better at this....

I have an Aeroflo grow going with the CLWs LEDs hangin over it......about 2 weeks from the finish line! This is my first grow in a system that I bought (had home made hydro tubs) and first grow with CLW fixtures (Used Magnums for first Hydro/LED grow)...

How's germination going? It can be the trickiest part of the grow most of the time. Since you went with the paper towel method, remember to be really careful and not touch the taproot when you're moving them to soil. Only bury it about twice the height of the seed under the soil, just enough that the taproot won't push the seed out of the soil and not so much that the seedling has to use up all of its energy trying to pop out. Other reasons that one seedling might have died could temperature, over watering, or overly compacted soil. The seedling's soil should be pretty heavy on the drainage amendments, like perlite. And I always water by misting with a spray bottle when the seeds are that young, so you don't disturb the seed and so you can just get the soil damp all the way through and not soaked.
