Okay my title says it all currently I'm throwing some clones of WW and Seeds that i germinated about 8 days ago into autopots when the time is right (about a week). This light seems pretty powerful i am also growing with another brand of LED and these 5watt diodes are much brighter than the 3w diodes.

The environment is being enriched with CO2 @1500ppm and the temps stay at about 80-85 daytime with about 3kW of LED in one room thats not bad in my opinion. This grow is being separated from my other grow and is in a 4x4 tent in the same room.

Temp, Hum, CO2 is being monitored by a sentinel controller.

Using Blue Planet Nutrients and the plants will be put into a inert 50/50 coco/perlite mix

3kw of LED in how many square feet of grow area? I'm looking forward to seeing how these progress, the environment looks great.

its about a 10x15 room one 800 watt is separated in a 4x4 tent but it is all in the same room, don't get me wrong the need for ventilation is there temps will rise with any kind of light, i just use a 12,000 btu a/c and a dehumidifier

I assume some of that area has to be used for pathways or you'd never be able to get to the back of the room. I'm curious what the square footage is for the actual grow area part of the room so I can calculate the watts per square feet. As you may have read, we're having a little debate regarding how much is enough. Also, while they call that light an 800watt light, it never uses 800w, it only uses up to 640w depending on what mode it's in. Still, that light in a 4x4 tent should be appropriate (about 40w/sqf) for veg or flower. They do get a little hot, I saw one at an expo a few months ago.

Those 5w diodes should give you more penetration power for flowering than smaller diodes too, how long do you veg for before flowering?

There are two grow spaces one that is about 4x8 with three fixtures and one that is about 4x4 that has just one 800 watt fixture. Yes there is some room for walking.

The other 800 watts draw about 720watt with three watt

In my current grow I vegged them for 5 weeks I plan to do the same with the Island Sweet Skunk.

Also yes it is not true that LEDs don't produce heat the only truth to that is there is minimal radiant heat from the lighting as opposed to HID lighting. The need for ventilation/cooling will always be there not just because of the lights also to reduce humidity and replenish CO2. I think a lot of growers may have a misconception about ventilation and LEDs most assuming there is no need for it.

I am really glad that there are finally some pic's up to support the kind words for this product.

I can speak from experience that my LED lights are not producing any noticable heat, there has been no increase to my heating in my tent. I have never personally seen a solarstorm, so I can't speak on their heat production. I have seen many brands like the 357 mag and mag +, penetrator, and a few other randoms, all of those brands produced much higher amounts of heat then my current lights. I am not sure the number of heat sinks each brand is using or the quality of them compared to my brand of lights but I do know that my unit has more fans inclosed then the other units do.

Currently I am using a 6" 3 speed fan for airflow in my 4 X 8 tent, but I am considering removing it. It is on the lowest of the three speeds (1 of 3) and it reduces my humidity a huge amount, drops from 65% to below 50% in a matter of hours. I haven't been actually using it for about a week.

I have an intake tube for air entering the tent as well as two openings built in the tent to allow airflow, along with the osilating fan inside keeping the air moving around.

The other three fixtures are from advanced led lights diamond series with three watt diodes, so far they're great.

How much watts are your lights and how many do you have in your tent?

I believe that the larger the wattage per fixture the more heat is produced. Honestly a fixture could have the most efficient heat sink ever invented the truth is heat sinks just take the heat away from the lights and bring it to the top of the fixture to be dissipated by the fans, the heat is then transferred to te ambient air and increases the temp in the room. LED lights are definitely more efficient than HID and have to use less watts to achieve better PAR output, but once you start getting higher wattage fixtures you'll need cooling for the room.

Oh nice, have you been growing the other test room with those three lights the whole time?

Currently I have 2 gs300's running in my 4 X 8 secret jardin 240W tent. They are an actual draw of 240W each. You could check out my journal for all the info and pic's at the bottom of the board index under grow journals. It's afganberry's journal which is me lol.

I have 3 gs600 Pro-Bloom's that will be running in a few weeks in the bloom room, which is a secret jardin 300W tent 5 X 10.
I plugged in one of the three lights the other day and left it on for upwards of 6 hours and did not notice any real spike in heat. My laptop sitting on my lap has a much higher amount of heat created from it then compared to the gs600 pro.

It might change once it is in actual use 12 hours a day, but I doubt that it will cause any type of noticable increase.

With the gs300's you can touch it and feel some warmth however it is so minor that it is pretty much doesn't exist.

Honestly running my dryer has a bigger impact (because my dryer vents into my house into a bucket of water) on the setup then the 2 lights.

Even in a sealed room, with supplemental CO2 and AC, growers need ventilation for when they're working in the room. I wouldn't want to hang out in 1500ppm CO2 for very long.

I assume that those Advanced LED lights are the 800w models?
