So got the light bout a week ago. Room is 4 x 4 x 8. It gets hot n there, around 90. Outside temp is only 68. Have any good suggestions to lower temp to 70 without getting an ac unit? Have a fan n there but not doing the trick. I have my beans in there n they are starting to sprout.

hi,
can you bring in fresh outside air or vent the room to attic, basement, outside, another room??

my space is 3x4x8 and luckily I am able to do both.

good luck with your light. I think everybody on here likes the product and the results

Welcome! 4x4 is a little big for the ss400 but you'll be fine for early on. What is your setup ?why is it 90 inside your room? What is your humidity like?

I think you'll really enjoy your light. We all have had some issues but I have not seen any issues with the light.

You should exhaust the heat to outside of your grow room. I have two SS400's and I am using a 6" coaxial fan to exhaust the room ( 40"x 84" x 96" ) I bring in air from the room next to the grow room and my temps are at 81 deg. lights on and 68 deg. lights off. Good air circulation is necessary for optimum plant growth. You should also have a fan to circulate the air in the room blowing from the bottom up to the plants as CO2 is heavier than the air. This will help the plants to transpire O2. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forums!

When you get an exhaust fan, as others suggested, you really should be shooting for more like 80F rather than 70F when the lights are on and 10-15F less when the lights are out.

You do have other options but the fan option is the cheapest solution.
