According to that link it's 70-80 (without added CO2) during the day and above 60 at night so it seems OK to me although I prefer a little tighter range. I'd try be closer to 75-80 with a 10-15 degree nighttime drop (15-20 with added CO2) but I may be trying to split hairs.

Too cold or hot will affect the plants.

Hey GR! Hoping all is well...just wondering how your ladies have been doing lately...look forward to the next update man!

SME, yea, I think I was looking at that temp chart a little differently than you explained it...either way, as you say and I am now a firm believer of, there are many "right" ways to do this thing...and few wrong...

Peace !

Hey Curt,

Was posting an update tonight, you must be a mind reader.
Been busy with my biz, man I am supposed to be retired and I am working harder now than I have in yrs. LOL

Well here is todays update. Despite the situation stated below the plants are doing ok.

Day 35 of 12/12!

Did a flush yesterday and today. Did the one Sunday because when I fed on Saturday I checked the rinsate and the pH was 4.3 and the ppm was 1800. I know that coco hold nutes but I never expected this. Was to late in the evening to flush Saturday so I flushed yesterday with rain water @ 5.7 pH. I flushed two times and the rinsate was 400 pph and a ph of 5.4. When I say flush, I taped over the upper drain hole on my Hempy buckets and filled the bucket with the pH'ed water, left it sit for about 5 minutes then pulled the stopper from the bottom drain and let it drain for about 30 minutes then repeated the process.
Well last night I was talking to a grower buddy of mine and told him what was going on and he said that what nutes are not taken up by the plant will settle to the rez and build up salts. I knew this from my days in the golf biz, would see fert settle out in my fertigation holding tanks. I would have to recirculate the tanks before putting out any product. So he suggested that I do this flush more often when using the Coco/Perlite Hempys. He also said that I should raise my pH to around 6 to 6.4 as the coco tends to be lower in pH to begin with. I researched it after our talk and he was right. I though I should of been keeping it around 5.6 which is what I ran with my Perlite/Vermiculite grow.
So this morning I drained the buckets and flushed them twice with pH'ed rain water @ 6.2, letting them drain for about an hours after the last flush. I then watered/fed them with my Lucas formula @ a pH of 6.2. I am now wondering if I am using the correct formula for my nutes, but not to worry now, not going to change so short of harvest.

Thinking 10 days to two weeks for the White Widow and two to three weeks on the CC/BBGA.

As you can see I have a few popcorn buds that I missed at the 20 day of flower pruning. Do not want to remove them now, only thing I am removing are the yellowing fan leaves and for fans that are blocking bud development.

Thanks Curt,

Here are a few pics from today.

pH damage to the CC/BBGA, did not seem to effect the WW near as much.

CC/BBGA one to two weeks and maybe more, if you look you can see the pH damage on the upper leaves, older leaves not effected and new growth is also not effected.

I believe I have the pH problem under control, have been watering/nutes with pH 6.2 to 6.3. Rinsate pH is running 5.9 to 6.2.

I am so glad I put those drain hole at the very base of the buckets, makes for very easy flushing, and future grows will get flushed much more often. Read the above post about the pH problem and you can see how and why I use the drain holes.

lookin' good.

i'm new to coco too and what i found that works(so far at least) is pH 5.9 ish, Lucas Formula using half well/half RO and 3ml/gal of Cal/Mg.

I was hoping to avoid Cal/Mg by using well water but no luck. oh well.

good luck with the harvest!

Rocky,
Thanks, man you definitely have to use Cal/Mg with Coco. I am using 5mg/gal. What is your ratio using the LF, I am using 7 g/gal, well 5 to 7g's. I am using rain water and the natural pH of the water is 6.9 to 7.1, very low in ppm.
They are looking better, and are plumping up nicely. I cut off some of the very damaged leaves.

The coco mix for my next grow is 7 to 3, thats 7 parts Perlite to 3 parts coco. Have some now in my new young-un, an Afgan, but am getting a clone of WW from a buddy's last grow, it is divine smoke.

Been following your grow looks great. Will let you know about the harvest.

Flushing your system is a good thing; some systems more than others. ;)

RKY:
Lucas or h34ds formula?

GR,

H3ad's formula is just a slight variance on Lucas for Coco: (I think his handle was Grat3ful H3ad)

It's 6ml/gal Micro, 9ml/gal Bloom with 1g/gal Epsom.
