Everybody looks pretty happy. Some browning around the edges of one plant - not sure what's causing it...that plant might be a male so probably won't need to worry about it.

I may have switched to 12/12 a bit early...could have probably vegged a few more days. Other than that, all seem happy and healthy. Once I re-pot I will post some closeups of each :D

Sorry about the delay in updating. Everybody has been transferred to 3 gallon fabric pots using ocean forest plus some worm casings and mineral dust. All in all, between my 2 tents, I have 9 ladies under 12/12. 5 of those are under the solarstorm (shots below). There are 2 hawaiian wave (ripper seeds), one sage n sour (th seeds), one satori and one kalichakra (mandala seeds).

I've had some temperature issues - lost power a few days ago because of a huge snowstorm...plants got colder than I would have liked but everything seems to be back on track. I should really have a generator for occasions like that, but that's another story...

Other than the minor temp. issues, everyone seems pretty happy. As I mentioned in a previous post, I probably could have vegged some of these for a few more days, but I suppose I don't have to worry about stretching so that's a good thing.

The largest plant in the photo below is a hawaiian wave (80% hawaiian sativa). You can 't really tell from the photo, but I tied her down (using twine and a safety pin in the fabric pot). She was able to veg for a few extra days, which explains her height compared to the other hawaiian wave (back top left). I tied her down a few nights ago and within 24 hours the top had already straightened back toward the light.

Anyway, hope not to run into any other major issues. Yield won't be huge, but if everything is smooth sailing from here on out, I should have a nice variety of really nice bud.

Also, I recognize part of this forum should be commenting on the solarstorm itself. I am really enjoying it and it looks as though the plants love it. My only issue, thus far, is keeping the tent temperatures up. Because the light produces minimal heat, it has been an adjustment for me, especially this time of year. That being said, this is obviously not a problem with the light. When I am finished growing the plants, I will provide more overall comments about the solarstorm itself.

Wow - everyone is looking beautiful. I flipped on the UVB switch because at least one of the plants is roughly 3 weeks from being finished. All the plants are small so I haven't had to use many (any really) additional ferts. If I do add some, I usually add a touch of liquid budswel to the regular waterings (stopping 2 weeks before the plants are ready to come down). As you can see from the photos below, these are looking frosty frosty frosty. I decided to take these photos with the solarstorm turned off - again, this is only five plants with the light about 1 foot above.

Just got home after some time away. I was fortunate enough to have a friend water while I was gone - got back to some beautiful, frosty, happy plants.

A bit of light bleaching on the top of a couple (photo below). I probably have (or had) the light a bit too close - other than that, these are some of the nicest looking plants that I have grown :P

Well, it's finally time to take down the first plant - sage n sour at 65 days or so. She's not very tall, but super chunky buds covered in trichromes (a bit of light bleaching but nothing too bad) - this is my first time growing this strain so I am very excited...photos below

Don't forget to run your room temp at 5-7 degrees hotter than you do with HID to compensate for the lack of infrared generated by the HID.

And I agree, a 440 should handle a well spaced 3x3 with a very even canopy. I personally use 4- 220's per 4x4 tray. more fixtures better.

Happy New Year all!

Two more plants are down - beauties. The first one below is the larger of the 2 Hawaiian waves (1st three pictures). From the first photo you can see where I tied her down. I actually started her flowering 1 week before the others, so she is around 75 days (though I don't really go by days flowering as much as a microscope to look at the color of the trichromes). Sativa through and through - really excited.

The second set of photos is Kalichakra at 68 days or so.
