Thank you so much hemi and SME! I really appreciate all the support. Thanks hemi for the pics and experience on flowering under LED. And I see your point Mary about the holes going thru the veins. I'll keep checking the leaves. No new holes yet.

How long do you folks veg your plants. I'm planning to veg for 8 weeks. I think that's a bit longer than most, but i think the quality is better with a longer veg. would love to know if you agree.

Tomorrow i'm starting some Kosher Kush seeds. They are feminized, so i won't have to deal with sexing. Will be my first grow with feminized seeds. I guess i'm kind of old school or conservative or something, bec i have avoided the feminized seeds til now.

Veg time depends on genetics and grow styles. I tend to veg until the plants get 1/3 to 1/2 the size I want them to finish. I use 1/3 for new genetics that I don't have experience with, just to be safer. I'm not sure that longer veg time increases quality as much as quantity but that would be an interesting debate.

I guess I'm old school too, I prefer regular seeds but I've grown fem seeds too. I'm not a fan of autos, personally. ;)

I'd like to see a SolarStorm with 7w to 10w diodes and air cooling flanges, optional, for cooling. I might have to break down and try one after the next version or so. ;)

Great vegging, some curling

Welp, my babies under the SS are doing great for the most part. New growth up and down the stem. In fact, the growth is so dense i'm not sure where to take clones from.

I do have a little curling of leaves on one plant...not sure what that's about, but am going to slow down on the nutes for a couple of days.

If lowering the nutrients didn't help, check the basics like temp, humidity, ph, soil moisture, etc...

Thanks...it might be heat stress... I just went in there and it was in the upper 80s. it's getting hotter during the days here, a challenge to manage the wide temp swings between daytime and nighttime. Just turned off the overnight heater last week. sounds like time to hook up an AC.

That can do it, looks like you're on it though. ;)

Make sure they're getting enough magnesium too...

I've been using the FoxFarm nutes, following this schedule: http://www.marijuanagrowguide.net/Soil.html But i am watering daily, so i've been doing Big Bloom one day, then water the next, then Grow Big, then water the next and then back to Big Bloom, etc. But i'm thinking i may need to build in more water only days

On your next "water only" day, add 1 tsp/gallon epsom salt/water, see if they like that... ;)

EDIT: and don't water daily until they get much bigger and need water daily...

Been a while since i posted some pics. the plants under the solar storm seem to have much denser foliage than the metal halide grown ones.
