1) Myth: Not enough light (and flowering of course) causes stretching, it won't make flowers bigger.

2) Removing the table is your best idea to get more space, you could tie down branches that are too tall but the table idea is better.

My previous *shrug* was a case of uncertainty not apathy... ;)

Also, if headroom is an issue you may want to avoid indoor sativas, they tend to flower longer and stretch more than indicas.

YMMV...

The table is out! Now there is approx 18" of space between lights and plants. More light on total plants should help. There is also much more light penetrating the canopy, should even out the canopy. I still wish I had gotten two of the 800's. Money was a concern at the time. Well, I guess the test really begins now that the room is set up properly.
It is so much better to be able to look down at the tops to see progress instead of up. Amount of buddage is pretty good, now to see if I can get them to heavy up. Feeling much better now, ROCK ON!

Today is day 29 of flower. There is a pretty fair amount of bud on the plants. Now for the lights to do their work. Hopefully, they have the muscle to fatten up the harvest. Here are a few pix to give an idea of progress.

Would someone clarify for me how to arrive at a good reliable gpw number, not the math, but what constitutes a good gram. Are we talking about only primo bud, or does that number also include shake, kief, popcorn, lbs of butta? What exactly can I put on my scale? Let's create a standard measure so our comparisons are legit. Thanks for your input. ROCK ON!

Typical g/w measurements are for dried, cured flowers only. If you'd like to debate yield measurements I started a thread that nobody was interested in before. ;)

SME, thanks for your reply. I went to your LTA thread and commented. I don't know if I made any sense. I'm not trying to stir up trouble, but just trying to nail down something concrete to guage my progress. There are as many ways to grow as there are ways to scratch your ass, and I like the way I do that. There are the right ways and there are wrong ways, and sometimes you can't tell them apart. The only way to be sure is to measure the final yield. Bad yield equals the wrong way.
Now, I realize that I am an old fart on a fixed income, slow to change, and meaner than a three legged gator in heat, but I am a sensitive guy who wants to grow great sensi.........................

ROCK ON!

I haven't seen any thing that would cause trouble, that's what forums are for...to discuss things and learn. ;)

I'm into week 5 of flower, and the girls are loaded with bud. However, they are not putting on size as quickly as past runs. I'm pretty sure that more light is required to get them to fatten up. If anyone has any tips, I'd sure be thankful for your insights. Remember, This is the first time I've run Sour Diesel,(as well as LEDs) so maybe it's just a trait of the strain. They have come up another 6" or so since I took them off of the table. I was planning on 8 to 9 weeks to finish, but maybe these will take longer. Thoughts? Would it be good to add another 180W veg LED? I'd just have to hang it in there. What do you think?

There's really not much you can do other than adding more light, flowers usually put on the most weight in the last 3-4 weeks. There are nutrient supplements that claim to boost flower production and/or change taste but I've always been doubtful. I'm not sure how blue your other veg light is but you could try it. I know people that flower with MH and HPS at the same time.

YMMV... ;)
